I believe the camera needs to be viewing the area in order for the line crossing alarm to be tripped in turn tripping the smart tracking option. That's how it works for my DS-2DE4A225IW-DE atleast.

I updated my R7 DS-2DE4A225IW-DE from 5.5.0 to 5.6.11 and now the camera will not smart track anything. It doesn't seem possible to downgrade the firmware any lower than this....did you fin a way?

I have two PTZ cameras that record 24/7, 2DE4A220 and 2DE4A204. I want them to record 24/7 (as they currently do) but I also want to be able to playback only 'events' via the NVR interface. I just can't get this to work the way I want. Do I have to set recording to event only? TIA
