Local network "fall out" several times a day

It could still be your internet connection: is this a cable company ISP? I suffered for years with brief drops, ultimately due to poor signal strength (bad drop from the pole, etc..). I moved to fiber 3.5 years ago when it became available in my neighborhood, and highly recommended it, very...

    Cameras suddenly not recording

Really glad to hear it wasn't a deeper problem. I cannot stress enough though that this has been brought up in numerous threads, I highly recommend using the forum search tools if anything similar crops up in the future, prior to starting another thread.

Local network "fall out" several times a day

Odd, that model Asus router isn't their newest or highest performance router, but it is known as an ultra reliable, workhorse that has few problems. Many times people have better luck after doing a full factory reset then reconfiguring from there manually (do not simply restore a backup .cfg...

    Cameras suddenly not recording

Are you sure there are no recordings, or just no alerts in the clip list? If the latter, right click on the alerts region, drop down to database, then do a Repair/Regenerate. Many, many posts about this, goes back a couple of BI releases.

    BI5 no longer recording clips

Right click the alerts, do a database Repair/Regenerate. This has been covered in many posts.

I do understand what you are saying, but I have to think that a certain amount of AI logic and/or latency (or persistence of vision) is applied as well on static objects. I know Ken has mentioned not too long ago that some improvements were made to "static object detection"...it just seems that...

    Worlds First Review - Dahua DH-IPC-HDW5849H-ASE-LED / IPC-Color4K-T - 2.8mm Turret

I have to agree that the new method is lacking: no matter how many periods can be set, with lots of granularity for months, etc, it is still FAR better to have the API working that allows a separate program (BI or other) to control this based on an automatic time adjustment for the true...

    VPn recommendations.

Very good points, and I also went the Asus route, mostly because I know it quite well (I have been a fan of open-source router firmware going way, way, back into the very early days of DD-WRT and the Linksys WRT-54G, but have been using Asus routers for at least 10 years, much of that due to the...

    5.5.7.4 - NEW: Persistent ALERT_DB macro values

Yeah, back in May I was still having occasional issues with Pushover notifications not always resolving the links to UI3 Alerts. That issue was 100% solved about 4 to 6 weeks ago when Ken made some specific changes to the way items can be added to the database. This caused many here to complain...

Not to doubt your findings, but I can confirm that any word that represents an "unlikely" object in the "To cancel" box will result in CPAI going through all of the collected images, rather than just the first few. Have you tried that as well, and found differences with your suggested setup?

Seeing 'AI: timeout' events when 2+ cameras are triggered at almost the same time

Ok, good to know, but I'm surprised you are not seeing faster than that. I had considered getting the same Nvidia card at one time, but I will hold out for other options if or when they become available (Coral USB possibly).

Seeing 'AI: timeout' events when 2+ cameras are triggered at almost the same time

I have just recently been struggling with a similar issue on the "pair" of cameras that I run CodeProjectAI on, but I run CPU only, so slightly different situation. I get fairly high CPU spikes up to near (or at) 100% CPU use briefly when both cameras are sending images to CPAI: as a result, I...

*.DAT file contains two asterisk marked entries

I'm glad that Ken got back to you: I suspect that many of us looked at your question and said "Yikes, if you don't know the answer, we don't stand a chance figuring it out".

Yes, if you have any issues when closing this dialog (spinning wheel, etc..) wait about 30-60 seconds. then see if the AI server is responding (open the web browser interface to check). If in doubt, reboot your server, that should clear it up.

The CodeProject team has indicated that while the current setup does allow for the use of port 5000, it is deprecated, as that port is shared with UPnP. As such, they are suggesting migrating to port 32168 when possible.

I get this far more frequently for some reason under CodeProjectAI than I did previously under DeepStack. It occurs most often when a person is walking in front of a stationary vehicle. Anyone else notice that trend?

Help in setting up alerts in BI (5.6.1.0), for very common driveway view setup

Yeah, I am well aware of that video, and I have run both DeepStack and more recently CodeProjectAI. I have no issues with triggering, and those triggers do result in Alerts on the timeline (that show ALL the appropriate zone crossings), but unfortunately without resorting to a short delay timer...
