    Commercial Setup

Following up. All equipment has arrived and the install has begun. Aside from everything going well, I do I have one question. A handful of cameras came in (5 or 6) that were visually the same but were not H.265 equipped. They were H.264h capable but not H.265. I plan on sending these back...

    Scanning for Cameras off network

Did not even think of that.....but you are correct. For some reason with my limited networking knowledge I did not even think of changing my adapter settings to match the camera while still connected to the backbone. I won't see anything else, but I will find the camera. Thanks,

    Commercial Setup

Testing H.265 and noticed a slight choppy effect vs H.264. Setup is H.265 VBR Max 6000 kbps 20 FPS When I drop to H.264, the video is smooth. I can play around with the settings and get it "some what" smooth but not as smooth as H.264. Any one experience this?

    Commercial Setup

I am using IE. Chrome will not work at all. IE seems to want to load the plug-in for each IP. Shouldn't really matter once we get it all set up I guess. We will just view all cameras via the NVR Thanks.

    Scanning for Cameras off network

I was going to put this in my other thread but its a bit off topic so I am starting a different one in case someone has a similar question. The Dahua cameras come set with a static IP of 192.168.1.108. My network is 192.168.255.xxx. Currently, I have to change my local LAN settings on my PC...

    Commercial Setup

I will play around with the tool (sounds weird) and see what I can do. As far as the vari-focal option.....I do not have a great answer for you other than this... There are too many people here wanting to make decisions on a focal length, locations, positions, etc and it became quite the chore...

    Commercial Setup

Thank you for all the advice, comments, and suggestions. @kheiney , its funny but I had actually landed on this NVR last week. Its the same as the one you posted but 32ch instead of 64ch. We are going to split the system between "exterior" and "interior" cameras. So this will allow us room...

    Commercial Setup

Thanks for the info. The cameras we have purchased are capable of H.264H or H.265. They are 4mp cameras that require 8mbps of bandwith per camera @ H.264 or 4.2mbps @ H.265. Assuming 50 - 55 cameras using H.264 results in 400 - 450mbps total, so I am going to exceed the thoroughput of most of...

    Commercial Setup

We are moving slowly on this project, but still moving :) We have purchased (4) IPC-HFW5431E-Z and (4) IPC-HDBW5421E-Z cameras respectively. After about a month of testing we are happy with the product and are ready to make the next move to purchasing higher quantities (roughly 25 of each...

    Replacing Blue Iris with NVR/DVR

Thank you! Since I rolled back the driver, everything has been going well.

    Replacing Blue Iris with NVR/DVR

@looney2ns Thank you for holding my hand through that excellent step by step. I made some adjustments and updated the driver and I will wait to see if things stay normal. I would indeed like to revert back to an older version of BI if you have one. I am running the most up to date version...

    Replacing Blue Iris with NVR/DVR

I am really trying to not get frustrated but I have spent the last 3 hours trying to find an INTEL driver that will not cause the CPU/RAM spike. I don't think I am a idiot but I have yet to find a thread that clearly states what driver works. I have also not been able to find a link that lists...

    Replacing Blue Iris with NVR/DVR

Fair enough. I am just looking for a solution that "I figured" would be more fool proof. I have done the INTEL Video driver rollback 4 or 5 times now and finding the right one is challenging sometimes because based on the BI update/version, the same INTEL driver doesn't work every time. I...

    Replacing Blue Iris with NVR/DVR

BI is getting to sketchy for me the last few months. RAM always spiking, CPU spiking, having to reboot, etc. Seems like every time I get a new update something else happens. So I am going to take the i7 and use it for some encoding rather than BI. With that said I am looking for an NVR that...

    Commercial Setup

Hello all, For some crazy reason I have been put on a team here at work to assist in setting up a complete security camera system. We currently have roughly 35 cameras combined (indoor and outdoor) around the building that are very old (20yrs or so) and are failing. My company wants to upgrade...

Finishing up the install with a few questions

 I keep forgetting that VPN is just like being local. Using the Linksys WRT1900ac would you recommend going OpenVPN with client software or could I set up an IPSec? I would prefer not using client software if I could. If the Linksys doesn't support IPSec tunneling, do you...

Finishing up the install with a few questions

First of all, thank you for the link and taking the time to write that up. Having persons who are knowledgeable in their field, helping others as well, makes for a great place to learn. The big headache for me when using VPN is the fact that 99% of my remote viewing is done via mobile device...

Finishing up the install with a few questions

Forgot one other thing. I have an extra gigabit NIC and router, Is there any merrit to separating the two networks? The cameras are all h.264 so bandwidth usage should not be terrible I wouldn't think even running the cameras 4mp @ 20fps. Security would be better if I isolated the...

Finishing up the install with a few questions

Wow, I would never have imagined RDP being that CPU intensive but I guess I was wrong. Over RDP, 10 cams recording 4mp @ 20fps, with service only - 32% -34% Over RDP, 10 cams recording 4mp @ 20fps, GUI open for viewing with unrestricted frame rate - 84% - 87% Directly at the console, 10 cams...

Finishing up the install with a few questions

Viewing remotely via RDP but still on the LAN, no viewing outside the LAN. I will try to lower the fps to 15 for recording, I just want to make sure I have smooth recordings, nothing jittery. I am not using VPP. Thanks Fenderman.

    BlueIris memory leak?

I am still running the 4300 driver and my memory has remained steady at about 5.3Gb without climbing. I will try new intel video drivers as they are released.

Finishing up the install with a few questions

I have the PC built and all but (4) cameras installed. With (4) cameras left to install I am seeing about 32% CPU usage while running the BI service only. If I open to view the cameras, CPU jumps up to 82%- 87%. I have a feeling once I add he last (4) cameras I am going to peg the CPU when...

    BlueIris memory leak?

Thanks, but that one did not work for my chipset. This one did however..... Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 and Windows 7*/8.1* [15.40] Download the zip file and extract it. The .exe did not work correctly. Sitting back at right about 4.5gb again as is should be. Now I guess...

    BlueIris memory leak?

I am just leaving HA off for right now. CPU is around 45% when the console is open and with HA off but that's better than 85% RAM being used. CPU is around 31% with just the service running and no console open. When HA was on, I was seeing a little as 17% CPU. Sucks because I was really just...

    BlueIris memory leak?

I have the same thing going on now. Not exactly sure when it started happening but if I have any hardware acceleration on, memory creeps up to 24 o 25 gb's. If I turn it off, it sits right where it should. It used to sit right around 5gb's. I have 7 4mp Hikvision cameras running @ 20fps. I...

    clips and archiving

Okay that makes sense. I am familiar with the base 2 vs. base 10 values of allocating hard drive space and have left sufficient room so as not to overload the drive. I have (10) 4mp cams recording @ 20fps continuous. Your recommendation is to split 5 cams to each drive rather than spanning...
