Replacing Blue Iris with NVR/DVR

BI is getting to sketchy for me the last few months. RAM always spiking, CPU spiking, having to reboot, etc. Seems like every time I get a new update something else happens. So I am going to take the i7 and use it for some encoding rather than BI.

With that said I am looking for an NVR that will meet these specs:
- NVR should accept (3) or (4) 10tb HDDs as I want 30 days of recorded history.
- NVR should handle (11) 2mp Hikvision's that will record at 20fps 24/7
- Remote viewing capable
- Decent playback interface
- NVR needs to be less than $700 and I have my own HDDs
- Relatively quiet
- Rack mount would be a plus but not a deal breaker

Its a windows update to intel hd video, there are threads discussing how to fix the problem, the intel hd driver has a memory leak, this causes memory use to spike and as a result cpu to spike - you can also disable hardware acceleration which should prevent the leak....if you believe it is an update, you know that you can DISABLE updates and revert back to an older version...if you think NVR's are immune from issues, take a look at threads...I have over 20 blue iris systems running with no issue, first thing you need to is disable auto updates. You dont need a modern i7 to run 22 hikvision cameras, a 300 dollar i5-haswell or higher can do it easily...
you will be sorely disappointed with a standalone NVR...dont like blue iris? more to another vms...
 
Fair enough. I am just looking for a solution that "I figured" would be more fool proof. I have done the INTEL Video driver rollback 4 or 5 times now and finding the right one is challenging sometimes because based on the BI update/version, the same INTEL driver doesn't work every time. I will give it another whirl though.....

Where can I find older versions of BI and can I just install them like an update?
What is the current INTEL driver that "fixes" the RAM/CPU spikes for WIN 10 64?

There is a thread that notes the driver that works...there is another thread that has links to an ftp site with many older versions of bi...also the best thing to do when updating is to do it via the website, that way you have old update files to use to revert back. just run an old update and it will revert.
 
I am really trying to not get frustrated but I have spent the last 3 hours trying to find an INTEL driver that will not cause the CPU/RAM spike. I don't think I am a idiot but I have yet to find a thread that clearly states what driver works. I have also not been able to find a link that lists an FTP site with older BI versions for download. Could someone be so kind as to post a link to the older BI versions and a confirmed working driver version? I would think that if INTEL keeps wrecking BI with driver updates, that it would be in the best interest for BI to keep a link on their site to known working versions of the INTEL driver. Otherwise people will get frustrated and stop using their software.

Disabling hardware acceleration made the issue worse.

@fenderman I know you say you have 20 boxes running with the BI software and no issues, but I am clearly not as experienced as you at managing BI so sorry for being a pest.

As @fenderman says, this is most likely a Windows update caused problem.
BI beats an NVR day in, day out.
What ver of BI are you running?
1-Turn off auto update in BI.
2-Unless you have a specific issue with BI, don't update.
3-Turn off Device Driver Updates in Windows to keep windows from "fixing things" for you. (see #6)
4-If you are set on doing BI updates, then install this: Blue Iris Update Helper (BiUpdateHelper)
5-Make sure you have gone through this: Optimizing Blue Iris's CPU Usage | IP Cam Talk
6-Read this: CPU usage creeping up slowly

If you really need to go back a couple BI versions, I have a few I can get to you.

Thank you for holding my hand through that excellent step by step. I made some adjustments and updated the driver and I will wait to see if things stay normal. I would indeed like to revert back to an older version of BI if you have one. I am running the most up to date version right now, ver. 4.6.5.2

I am also currently running 4.6.5.2 and no issue's at all with it. It's been up since 12/6.
