    I agree. For about $100 shipped (with the $40 refund), I think it is a good enough deal for a 4x PTZ POE cam. The IQ is not awesome, but good enough. I am ready to buy a V2 from Monica again.

    I haven't been following this thread much. Are you saying the Turret model of this camera is good overall (good image quality night and day, very little firmware problem)?

    So you get a $30 discount? You get to keep the cam and get $30 back? That is not bad. I will file a dispute to get $30 back. - - - Updated - - - How easy is it to remove the face plate? Will it make it more exposed to the element?

    I think the problem is, with the 4x, the lens is wide angle, but the IR lights are not. so the center is still nice and bright, but the edges don't have enough IR. Are there any POE IR lights?

    These are my image settings. I can't say it is the best settings as I just set it after I got it set up and haven't changed them much. It does make the night time images less noisy.

    I am going to keep mine. It is already installed and it would cost more money to send it back. With 3D noise cancellation turned on, it is okay. I do like its wide angle and I can see a lot more of my front door than ever before. I use Blue Iris so I don't care about other features that...

    Yes, that is what I had with all the default settings. It got better after I turned on 2d and 3d noise reduction. Even then it is still not as good as my v1.

    I guess they started selling the camera before the firmware is ready. I hope there will be new firmware releases. My camera is running some build from December 2015 I think.

    I notice a problem with this camera. When you zoom in or out, focus is gone while it moves, and then once zoom is stopped it slowly refocus. I think I have it set to "semi-auto". The old V1 10x doesn't do this. Is it something expected with V2 or is it V2 4x specific?

    I messaged Monica about the noise I see in night mode. much worse than the V1 Mini PTZ 10x I have. With noise reduction turned on, it is better, but it loses a lot of details. The good news is it is very wide so I see a lot more than before.

    I just got mine set up. By the time I am done, it is already night time. Night image is very noisy. I made some adjustment but it isn't as good as my V1 10x. Need to play with it some more tomorrow. I am pooped from all the drilling, hammering, screwing, running multiple cable runs, etc...

    Very cool. Did you find out from Monica? Does it do adjustment automatically during the "Lens Adjust" message or do you have to do something? I still have to set it up this weekend.

    I received mine yesterday. It was well packaged, box in a box. The white/blue box arrived in perfect shape. Only plugged it in last night and checked that it turned on via POE. Will configure and test it this weekend.

    I agree that requiring ActiveX is problematic at best, and it really is a big security concern at worst. An ActiveX control can have full access to your computer. A VM may actually the best way to configure and manage these cameras without opening up your computers to another attack vector.

    Same for me, my order of the 4x model isn't shipped yet and Monica asked me to extend my order for 2 more days. It is a little scary that we will be receiving the first batch that may or may not be well tested.
