    Smart Electrical Panels, Yes?

Yeah Those Arc fault breakers are junk. They get very hot compared to traditional GFI breakers or regular ones. I've had to replace a ton of them between 2019- current. My parents house had Seimens breakers which they had a recall on I believe. I personally feel they should have left ARC in the...

    Smart Electrical Panels, Yes?

I get it. Its really your money so do what you want, but I've been in the electrical industry for over 20 years to see brands come and go. Also see a shortage of parts that were hard to source. If these panels can use that brand specific regular traditional breakers in a pinch I say go for it...

    Smart Electrical Panels, Yes?

So are you looking at getting a smart panel for just monitoring your power usage and turning off loads?

I went on vacation for 3 weeks

I have noticed with one of my cameras it wont switch from night back to day settings sometimes. After power cycling with the POE it goes to the correct setting. Might be that?

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

Got a weird issue.. I had a power flicker last week and my Reolink doorbell stopped working in BI. I had this issue a while ago from a storm and all I needed to do was power cycle it. This time that didn't fix it. I can access the doorbell over the network on a webpage (IP hasn't changed) and...

A tiny radioactive battery could keep your future phone running for 50 years

With all that being said… I’ve worked at tech, NFL stadiums, community colleges and airports and haven’t installed them in the last 15 years. Even at all cement jails and haven’t used them since the 90’s. Entities must think they are too complicated to deal with seeing the regulations you...

A tiny radioactive battery could keep your future phone running for 50 years

When I first got in the trades around 1998 I seen exit signs that were running off some sort of nuclear material. Probably the same stuff we see in the gun sights? Anyways you don't see them used anymore.

IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 FPS issue in Blue iris

I thought about that before I bought the new switches, but changed my mind. When I get off work I'm going to pull the camera down and test in my house. If that works fine then I'm going to re-terminate my camera cables.

IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 FPS issue in Blue iris

OK I'm back with the same issue. I have replaced my Netgear POE switch with a TP-link POE switch and I'm getting the same issue. I'm going to disconnect one of these new cameras and test at the switch with a patch cable but I'm a bit confused. Last night the one thats always given me issue...

IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 FPS issue in Blue iris

I unplugged everything that is POE in my switch but the one camera giving me issues yesterday. I let it run for 15 minutes and solid FPS (15). I started adding other cameras and then one of the cameras thats plugged in later gets the 4 FPS. So basically all of a sudden I cant run my three...

IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 FPS issue in Blue iris

OK eventually I found out its my network switch. Could it be the switch or the power supply to the switch? I have this GS116LP | PoE+ Supported Unmanaged Switches | NETGEAR but with a 90w power supply. I only have three cameras which this set up should be able to manage. I moved my access points...

IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 FPS issue in Blue iris

Not using adaptive or smart codec. When I get a chance I’ll try deleting it from Bi. Also viewing from the web the camera doesn’t have a slow or choppy view. Motion seems normal.

I received two new cameras last week and after setting them up I notices the FPS in the BI status window are different than whats set in the camera web page. This is both running with the same settings. This is what BI shows. I have power cycled the camera in question and BI. Any ideas...
