    I'd say that sounds like a hardware issue. Try cleaning the microphone inside the vto or replace it, if it doesn't help.

    I have a couple of VTO2000A's as SIP ext. on asterisk and unify pbx's. As sw is from same generation, VTO3211 should work fine.

    No. You need to unbrick it via TFTP method. There is a big thread here about this. Don't waste time on the MCU.

    Forget the old non-SIP stuff and go to latest SIP software on all of your devices. There were so many bugs, most of them have been fixed in the recent releases. Off course you should not flash a SIP language pack over a nonSIP base firmware. This would lead to behaviours like yours.

    You can hook it up any sip server and let your phones ring on button press. Even dooropen command will work with standard sip phones.

    Did you try to use another browser? As I see you are quite experienced with IT stuff, you might try Dahua Console to list complete config (use command "config all") and see admin password. Don't know if you can reset the blacklisting, as I've never experienced that.
