    Yes shielded cable (cat6) is recommended. The increased cost of shielded cable compared to non-shielded is minimal.

    Unless you require the view, you can change the camera's view from horizontal to vertical (hallway) aspect. EDIT: I just looked at your pic :oops: Do you have the mount placed in a vertical position, rather than mounted horizontally?

    Decided I required one of those thermal readers, as discussed above. Flir 22% off Ouch!! At sale price $349 I would rather buy one of Andy's thermal cameras IMHO.
