Hack for transfering license plate verifier to new camera

The license key is tied to the serial number of your camera. How old is the P1448 and where did you buy it? Do you still have the license code for the License Plate Verifier app? When/where did you buy the license plate verifier code? Also, how is the P1448 broken?

Comparing real pro cameras to home grade. More than resolution specs.

Np! Either system will give you good night quality as long as you choose the right camera. You can even mix and match the cameras if you choose the right VMS. This forum is full of good information so I suggest reading a lot before you purchase anything.

Comparing real pro cameras to home grade. More than resolution specs.

@fastline12 I would just like to clarify some details about @wittaj post. Axis got hacked in the beginning of 2022. Based upon my research, only some of Axis's internal systems were affected. The hackers got in by social engineering and not by any flaw or vulnerability. The hackers did NOT get...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

I don't think that should be an issue but then again the sky is not in my cameras FOV. Just remember, these cameras are surveillance cameras, not broadcast cameras. Axis does have a line of broadcast cameras if you're interested in them. I've gotten the bitrate on my cameras to exceed 40 to 50...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

Yeah, I'm currently using the Timelapse 30 day free trial. I'm not sure what settings are available to stream to YouTube as I imagine that would be configured within the Camstreamer app. The P1468-LE uses variable bitrate and has technology to keep the bitrate low while maintaining image...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

I'm glad the white light is working for you now. I'm curious what kind of performance you can push out of it with the higher wattage security lighting. The downside to the 50-150mm variant of Q1808-LE is that it does not come with white lights (only has IR) and that aperture starts at F4.0 at...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

I don't read every thread or every post on this forum so I don't always see incorrect or misleading information. I'm not attacking you. I felt my post was proportionate to your response, "What part of he said the 12mm focal length field of view is closer to a 4mm focal length field of view don't...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

I'm not disagreeing with you in regards to the Hik/Dahua field of view and yes I agree the Axis field of view is different when compared to Hik/Dahua. I'm only contesting the statement that Axis "plays games with their numbers" as I don't see any evidence to suggest that. I also can't think of a...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

@wittaj this is the 2nd or 3rd time you've posted incorrect and misleading information about Axis cameras on this forum. I don't blindly follow Axis cameras and there are plenty of things I don't like about them but if you're going to make a post criticizing them, at least do the research first...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

As taken out of section 3.2.1 of the Field of View in the Axis Network guide. A consideration to take into account when selecting a camera is the field of view required; that is, the area of coverage and the degree of detail to be viewed. The field of view is determined by the focal length of...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

How exactly are they, "playing games with their numbers"? The field of view is clearly listed on their website and datasheet. In addition, if you use the Axis site designer and input a google map image, you'll be able to see field of view and DORI distance at whatever zoom level you choose. On...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

I’m currently trying the CamStreamer service on my P1468-LE for an upcoming project. I’m only using it for their Timelapse service but so far it’s working pretty well, I don’t have any complaints. I haven’t tried any of the other CamStreamer apps or the app that allows you to stream directly...

Let me know what happens. My white lights turned off at 6:30am this morning as per the schedule.

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

I just turned my schedule back on and it's turning on the white light as expected. I'm going to attach screenshots of my settings for the schedule, rule and the day-night settings I'm using. I'm also going to attach my NTP settings. If the camera has outbound internet access, I suggest...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

I suggest disabling the day-night rule if you're not going to be home when it gets dark outside. My camera went into a constant loop of turning on/off the IR cut filter when it got dark outside. I disabled it for now. I'm going to do more research and get back to you.

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

The rule should override it. It's been overriding it for me when I schedule the white light to come on and/or if I program it to come on for an AOA trigger. Previously, I had it setup to run in IR mode at night. I created a rule when someone enters my driveway, the rules activated the white...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

When the slider is closer to "dark" that just means the camera will stay in day mode (full color) longer while it's getting dark outside. When the slider is closer to "bright" it'll changeover to night mode (IR) quicker while there is more light outside. If you found a setting that's working for...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

I would leave it on auto. The idea is the rule we created will override the IR cut filter and turn on the white lights. Similar to how the it works with the schedule or activated based on an AOA trigger. Which specific firmware did you download and from which link? The only time I've gotten...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

See the attached JPEG for the White light rule. Those are the settings I would use for the rule. I'll test it tonight and let you know if it works on my camera. Edit: One more thing to take into consideration. Since you added more white light to the scene, you need to make sure the threshold to...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

Maybe the code went to your spam folder? I recommend downloading Axis Device manager. If your computer is on the same subnet you can manage the camera and do software updates from the device manager. That way you don't have to search for the firmware on their website. My logic with the 24...

Post a screenshot of the settings for your "white light rule" There are three differences between mine and yours that I can find; 1. My Q1808-LE is synced to a local NTP server running on my VMS server 2. I'm running Axis OS 12.0.91 3. My clock is in 12 hour format where you have 24 hour...

My white light activated and deactivated based on my schedule (turned on a little after 11:00pm and turned off at 12:02am. If the camera synced to your computer that's most likely a one time event unless you manually do it. The time on the camera will eventually drift unless you sync it with a...

I just tested it on mine. Set the schedule to be active between 11:00pm and 11:02pm. Created the rule with the same settings as you and the light turned on at 11:00pm and turned off at 11:02pm. I'll test it again but this time I'll have the schedule end after midnight to verify there isn't a...

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

The camera doesn't look like it's synced with anything. If the camera has internet access, I would check "automatic time and date (manual NTP servers)" and use time.windows.com. If it doesn't have internet access, do you have an NTP server on the hikvision NVR it can sync to? Was the time...

Hmm the way you have it setup should turn off the white light at 6:30 in the morning. I'll try it on mine to see if I have the same issue. Just to confirm, you have the camera synced to an NTP server and the time is accurate, right?

I Ordered an Axis Communications Axis Q1808-LE Camera

In my opinion, the Q1808-LE is not a good representation of Axis cameras in both image quality and image processing. I'm hopeful that a software update will improve its performance. One of the main advantages to Axis cameras in regards to image quality is the really good image processing of...
