    Sorry to hear the service glitched for you. My OpenALPR account has been stable. Did you have to reinstall the agent client software? After rebooting my PC early this AM for a Windows update, I noticed it took a while for the camera to get connected within the agent client.

    If the trees on the right are interfering with a good look far afield then I would suggest swapping the two cameras so that the LPR camera can see beyond those trees. That might improve the angle, and if the zoom is sufficient then better captures.

    Here is California it's about a $1100 fine to purposely obscure a plate from LPR, but there's a market for various products which removes the reflective coating. Just as window tinters are willing to sell and install opaque films but tell their customers it's on them if they are caught.

    Printing out fake plates is a waste of time. Just join the non-tax-paying crowds who don't bother to renew their two-and three-year-old registrations and who drive around with no insurance.     Yes, the one unit allows splitting the PoE power for two cameras. After having installed it last year in September it has been flawless. The unit itself is outside in the elements, although the ports are facing the bottom to prevent rain from quickly corroding the pins.

    HI John, the OpenALPR service offers a Watchman tier which costs $5 per month per camera, which is what I subscribe to. It allows for 5 days of plate records within their download able CSV file. Their local image database kept on your own PC has as much storage as you wish to set for it.
