The ucam247 seems very good, i havent really touched the motion sensitivity but I have the app set to motion sensor and it seems to ping me reliably when there is any movement. I live in a quiet road and it picks up anyone who walks or drives past that i`ve noticed at least.- pr1970

Maybe you should consider D-Link again, I bought these 3 months ago and theyve never disconnected once and easy to setup, and always on wifi. I have 3 of them.- pr1970

ok thanks, but i dont understand why my cheap as chips dlink wireless cameras run flawlessly and these exterior ones are arriving either dead or failing soon after regardless of if they are wired or wireless. Thing is none of the ones I bought were reliable wired, let alone wireless. At the moment wired is out of the question, unless power plugs would work? ok I really do give up now, I decided to buy a Foscam FI9900P wifi bullet camera. Spent 2 hours setting it up, got it all working. Then decided to try the wifi, and that was working for 30mins. HOSAFE upload to ftp
Hi All Has anyone had any luck with using the ftp settings with hosafe cameras (9320). I`ve tried two different ftp sites and it just comes up with failed to login. Managed to get them to work with d-link and hikvision cameras. Any ideas before I send it back? Thanks- pr1970

ok i`ve got a little bit more life out of this camera. It does now show up in the sapd and ivms tools but it doesnt seem to respond either in ivms or going through the web browser. I can see the netinfo though and the serial number within iVMS. Any ideas? -

Yes have tried that downgrader and 5.3.0. It finds and then transmits the firmware but then it never completes. I`ve left it for 10 minutes and nothing, whereas the one that did work seem to say its completed in a minute. But then it never shows in SADP, i have the latest 3.0.0.2 version. I`ll...- pr1970

I`m attaching a photo of the camera and its label to see if anyone has an idea why I cant get it unbricked. I can only seem to get one chinese firmware to transmit and update correctly, the rest just complete transfer and do nothing (for 5-10mins). I`ve tried all many of versions 5.2.5, 5.3.0... -

Thanks wxman ITs a hikvision DS-2CD2032F-IW, I have attached a photo of the camera with its details. Strangely it says 5.3.0 on the camera but it came with an english 5.2.5 firmware I tried all sorts of firmwares chinese, english,etc. It only seems to complete with one chinese firmware via...- pr1970

Thanks, unfortunately already had a go with IPC_R0_CN_STD_5.3.0_150513.zip and tried the 1-line and 4-line but neither would finish the upgrade, just transfer completed and then nothing :-( -

Now it seems to appear in the sadp, takes about 5minutes to appear after plugging it into the router. But when I try and change the ip and i`m entering the password 12345 it just timesout. I`ve tried resetting the camera a few times. -

ah, i plugged it straight into the router rather than my switch and then sadp found it. but it wasnt accessible from the web browser. I tried resetting the camera twice and now it no longer appears. Pulling my hair out with this thing. -

ok well after about 6 hours of working on this I think i`ve bricked the camera. It appears that the 5.2.5 only allowed ip address for ftp so i checked firmware 5.3.0 info sheet and it said this was fixed in that firmware. So I updated the firmware after finally working out i needed internet... -
