Connects, but slow slow to display cams, wan or lan

Mostly to cloak my browsing. DYNDNS was 40 a year, and AirVPN was 50. Roughly does the same and has teh VPN. I realize that the way it is setup security is not there. Although I REALLY neeed to get up to speed with secure VPN, I'm not fully understanding the techniques of it all yet. I'm...

Connects, but slow slow to display cams, wan or lan

I use AirVPN. They have many servers I can connect to. So.. Yhey have a DYNDNS type of service, where you use a "yourname.airdns.org" that follows you regardless of what server of theirs you are connected to, in order to maintain a sort of virtual static IP. I realize blue iris pings as well...

Connects, but slow slow to display cams, wan or lan

Seems the last couple months, not sure how long in relation to updates, Blue Iris Android, has been very slow to bring cams up once it connects or maneuver between them. And sometimes, it's also slow to connect. Doesn't seem to matter whether it is WAN, or WiFI LAN. Used to be very quick. But...

    Push notification delay increased recently

Exactly. I used to use DYNDNS to keep what is essentially static connection to the dynamic IP I have. But they have gone downhill and their app is totally whacked these days. A year of AIrVpn, was like 15 dollars more than a year of DYNDNS. and AirVpn immediately follows you as you change...

    Push notification delay increased recently

Recently, I've been having several issues with the app and the server side emails/SMS as well. Delayed notification, sometimes immediate, sometimes random alerts to something that happened hours earlier. Takes forever for the app to load. Used to be immediate connect. But, I also get...

Troubles trying to set up new Dahua HDW5231R-Z

Well, I know this, but it appeared from his question, they are the only thing there with a switch router and pc. So, that was my 3am, advice.

Troubles trying to set up new Dahua HDW5231R-Z

Wow, had no idea. Thanks for that info. I traditionally just go into the cams directly and try not to use these software apps from whatever company. Certainly simplifies it.

Troubles trying to set up new Dahua HDW5231R-Z

So, if your network is 192.168.0.1, the tool will be able to see the cams if they are on 192.168.1.1? Wow.. I had no idea.

Troubles trying to set up new Dahua HDW5231R-Z

A few ways to see it. But... If you can merely access your router login, you can look to see quickly what the 'local IP address' for your router and change it to 192.168.1.1 You will save it on the router, and reboot the PC so it can be handed the proper gateway. Then look for the cams. All...

Troubles trying to set up new Dahua HDW5231R-Z

These come with an IP address set as 192.168.1.xx if you are on a 192.168.0.1 gateway you will not see them. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

No, Hikvision is the correct banner. Mine was still showing Annke as I had neglected to clear my cache.

ANNKE I61DR 2MP (Hikvision Cube Clone)

Good advice. That's exactly my plan. Replacing a couple ancient industrial hikvisions ds-2cd752mf cams I bought a couple years back, and they were quite old then....

ANNKE I61DR 2MP (Hikvision Cube Clone)

We've all been there. Me, likely more often than most, lol. I've done some hilarious things. I'm a jack of all trades, and the issue w/having so many varied technical interests is you can blow past some of the simplest stuff. Thanks again buddy, for this, and your earlier posts that helped...

    Blue Iris and a TVST-TR2916A

Sadly, VLC errors and says can't open it. Tried 6036 as well. Wireshark isn't showing a connection for anything except 6036 :-/ I guess that's bad IMO. I'm this short of finding an appropriate NVR for them and buying it to replace is just for my needs, lol. . Might be a hard find as...

    Blue Iris and a TVST-TR2916A

Wireshark just shows a TCP connection between Src port 6036 192.168.0.200 (NVR) to Dst Port 56459 192.168.0.10 (which I have nothing on the network with that IP)... 6036 is designated as a server port in the documentation. Doesn't appear open to Fing... Not looking good but maybe I'm not...

Thanks for the reply! On a fing scan, I see. HTTP Port 80 RTSP Port 554 A port Called NAPSTER?? 6699 And documentation in the NVMS-9000 interface says there is a "server port" 6063, but not seeing it in Fing Never used or paid attention to wireshark, downloaded it a while ago for a class...

    Blue Iris and a TVST-TR2916A

NVR Question.....I'm wondering if I can use Blue Iris to add this TVT branded TVST-TR2916A NVR to my BI server. There's not a lot about it on the net and I have searched and tried a lot. Kinda think it can't be done. It's a Hybrid NVR that accepts analog and IP cams. And has a LAN out that...

    Cheapie garage door camera

Have you tried ONVIF to see if it can display/change the settings? They may have an ActiveX plugin they want you to use on their disk :( Not a fan of companies that still do that. I was just looking at those today debating if I want a pair. lol..

    4.3.9 - June 8, 2016

Well, 4.3.9.4 still hasn't fixed the one old Hikvision 2CD752MF of mine that essentially broke (again) with the 9.1 update. Was fine till then :-/ Blue Iris has never liked this cam, lol. Time to toss it out lol, sick of playing with it.

    4.3.9 - June 8, 2016

What is odd, is I have rolled back to older versions and the problem on one cam that was introduced is still there. Other cams are a tad choppy, one hikvision cam actually just stops, video AND the time stamp, for about 3 seconds and then runs for 10 seconds, and repeats. lol.

    Blue Iris Update Error

Yeah, likely.... I was sitting here myself messing with settings on my cams trying to get past this stuttering. It's working of on most cams, but I have one particular older hikvision that is doing the exact thing that only it was doing last year and was remedied. lol... It pauses...
