    Blue Iris Update Error

Well, after I got everything settled down, 4.3.9.2 was choppy and pausing here and there. So.. I uninstalled, and re-installed 4.3.9.0 which PREVIOUSLY worked fine, Now it's also somewhat choppy and the erratic pause/jump... Wondering if I'm missing something :-/

You're not the only one Andromeda.... ;) Don't feel bad. The new update seems a bit odd. Pretty choppy.... sigh

    Blue Iris Update Error

Excellent. Update did it for me as well, all good. Update appears to be marked as 4.0.100.1190 So, once they renew my license since it expired/lapsed due to re-installing the program, I'll be good.

Had it on my system. I had went through the app needing to be rolled back and never lost all my cams and setting before :( Also giving me "Invalid DateTime" on all the saved clips. Pretty unhappy right now as a few cams are a problematic to set up and can't find my notes. IM sent to you....

Today's update broke my app, seeking to rollback to last versions?

Looking to rollback a version from today's update (4.3.9.1). It seems to have broken the app and it won't start. Soon as it updated and went to open, it failed. App won't start at all. Rebooted etc etc.... "The Application was unable to start correctly(0x000007b) Click OK to close the...

Who is watching you? Russian website puts local cameras online

Unfortunately it's a vast internet with much misinformation. And even having a decent grip on networking etc, it can often be vexing to get exactly what is needed. Of course, they don't exactly teach this sort of thing in CCNA land, lol.. But I get what you mean.

    Cheapie garage door camera

Agreed. I saw "Estimated Delivery Time: 10-15 days (ships out within 5 business days)" then 60 day thing and was like hmm.. Thinking of getting 3... Always have a use somewhere. Says the go off sale tomorrow and back up 32%... hmm...

Nice catch there. I'm quite interested in these. I may have to pull the trigger on a couple.

Who is watching you? Russian website puts local cameras online

With your expert knowledge, it would be a truly nice service if someday you wrote a "how to" article on securing the typical home setup. Like someone running Blue Iris that traditionally accesses the cams through that application on a smartphone etc. I have some ideas on how it works, but I'd...

Plasti Dipped Huisun 10x Mini PTZ

Good work. Looks nice. I've Plasti-dipped dome cameras. I live in the inner city and try to blend them in to the house as much as possible for several reasons, lol... Works well and worst case, you can peel it right off.

    Interesting SOHO router issue?

Looked over the logs. Nothing that stood out. Had a smurf attack earlier for a moment... No, UPnP has been disabled Updated the firmware with the same version just for kicks. Waiting for it to cough. We'll see. No biggie, it was a cheap router. Time to get a decent unit. I'm...

    Interesting SOHO router issue?

I will have to investigate it all more. I got accustomed to puttering with the cisco stuff, but the newer stuff is WELL beyond my pay grade when you start talling WAPs and switches haha... I was just going to buy a TP-Link AC router. But, rethinking that simple one off idea haha...

    Interesting SOHO router issue?

I'll look at that. I remember checking them out a bit ago as I'd seen reference to the Ubiquiti Edge here previously, as well as their POE switch. I have a fair grip on basic networking, was taking CCNA/Wireless networking classes. Enough to get in trouble I'm sure :) Yeah, I'd probably...

    Interesting SOHO router issue?

Correct. WAN to LAN port forwarding appear to be the issue. I can try Blue Iris Android app or any other app that requires access to the network (IP Cam Viewer, PLEX etc) on 4g cell and it's a no go. Switch to the local network's WiFi, it all works fine. And if I do a "Shields Up"...

    Interesting SOHO router issue?

Looking again closer, seems they have the "Netgear WNR3500 v2/U" And not V1... Probably the same situation as the DD-WRT, not compatible with the chipset in V1. Oh well it was a noble effort. lol... Now to decide whether to buy another consumer unit or an older Cisco, I'm hip to...

    Interesting SOHO router issue?

Yeah, I was wanting to do that with DD-WRT but my chipset was on the NO list :( (two versions of this router and mine of course is the V1 that isn't compatible) I'll have to see about tomato. It has the WNR3500L V1 mine is just a 3500, not an 3500L tho.... Hmm... Sound like it's...

    Interesting SOHO router issue?

I have a small SOHO network that I use to run some misc cams, Blue Iris Server/Plex Server machine, couple machines and typical home IP stuffs (Roku/Chromecast, network printers... It's just a cheap Netgear WNR3500, but it's been faithful/functional I suppose. Lately, I find I...

Review - TOP-201 Super Mini 720P HD IP-Cam (The Cheapest IP Cam So Far !!)

Nice, just writing my last post reminded that I'd seen the recommendation on amazon review of the cam when I bought it, This cam: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KA4M4WS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 He wrote: "Update: 1/8/2015 I found an even better lens for this...

I've also been looking through the thread for appropriate lenses. Needing a 2.8-2.5 maybe for a front door cam. Thought I'd seen somewhere one of the GoPro lenses would fit. Maybe saw that on an Amazon review.

Need new computer for Blue Iris v4

Excellent info, appreciated. :) I'm running an ancient Dual Core AMD 4600 Athlon 64 2.41ghz Was fine on three cams, but it's suddenly coughing a lung since I added one of those $25 cams the other day haha... That thing is eating CPU or an update whacked something. I can kinda wait, I'm...
