Need new computer for Blue Iris v4

Exactly what I need to know, thank you very much. Would I be better served jumping up into the 400-500 (I7) range? or would what you mentioned be adequate for what I was speaking of and general Blue Iris-ness?

Need new computer for Blue Iris v4

If I might ask a quick question without derailing much.... Seems the thread's question may be answered.... Fenderman, been looking for a cheaper way than 5 bils, I found this for 200 or so from a local kid, "Dell Optiplex 390 i5 6GB DDR3 320GB HDD 750GTX Nvidia 1GB GDDR5" Your thoughts...

Need new computer for Blue Iris v4

I did the twitter feed from Dell, they are seriously blowing up my phone. Act fast if you like one, I have debated on several machines and poof, gone in minutes.

Review - TOP-201 Super Mini 720P HD IP-Cam (The Cheapest IP Cam So Far !!)

Odd thing I've possibly noticed, is when using mine with Blue Iris, it seems to require a lot of processor power compared to my Hikvision and Foscam. Previously, 3 cameras with only one recording w/motion ran at around CPU 30-40%, just adding this one, it jumped it up to 80+% And it is not...

Review - TOP-201 Super Mini 720P HD IP-Cam (The Cheapest IP Cam So Far !!)

That's odd. I'm on all different sub than the camera was and both CMS and ONVIF found mine, I just plugged it in and it was there. Interesting.

Review - TOP-201 Super Mini 720P HD IP-Cam (The Cheapest IP Cam So Far !!)

Could try ONVIF. I'm on 192.168.0.1 and both CMS and ONVIF saw the cam and allowed me to change the IP.

Do I have to give it up?

Where I live, in Cleveland, there is pretty much no invest where they would impound a car or contents other than some sort of a fatal/felony/hit and run, or if the driver of the vehicle was dead and they had to tow it, even then they'd not really look it over other than at the scene or a quick...

How anyone can get your WiFi password

As common knowledge as this is said to be, I just took some Cisco route/switch/wireless classes and most people in them didn't have a clue of the dangers, lol... You'd be surprised at the amount of people who are oblivious to it all. I appreciate the post Nayr!

    What a night

This is enlarged heavily and cropped. About time for new cams I spose... Nonetheless, they were able to ID the kid with its help.

    What a night

I'm in CLE... Two weeks ago, people up the street detected their car being stolen and came out confronting the guy. Male suspect popped a couple rounds at them! So watch who you confront. lol.. Then... trying to escape, the guy drove the people's car into another car and then hit a phone...

Anyone have issues with the latest may 14th update?

Was in contact for a bit w/Ken. Gave him access to the offending camera. And, Monday's 4.09 had some timing tweaks that did the trick, all back to normal now. I must say, I really appreciated the assistance. The day before the update, I needed video from that camera to help ID a car...

    Another great capture

Here in Ohio, if a a structure that is "generally" expected to be occupied is entered, it's a burglary. If the suspect encounters occupants and threatens them in anyway, particularly with a weapon, it becomes an Aggravated Burglary (felony). I'm not aware that we have home invasion yet in our...

Excellent footage! Interesting, in most states, this would be a burglary, not a robbery.

Anyone have issues with the latest may 14th update?

Umm... By the way, you guys are the pro's I'm referring to. But, about ready to chuck this cam when money gets freed up. Not that it is bad itself, but if Blue Iris suddenly isn't cool with it, it's not much use for me. dropping frame rate to 10 helps it a bit but still jerky. Sadly, it...

Sadly, have tried all the Hikvision models. :( None seem to be any different. Trying my best to cover the bases before I bother the pros, lol..

Anyone have issues with the latest may 14th update?

Hey there Fenderman, you must never sleep. This cam is odd. The cam, on its own interface, is (currently) set to Frame rate 18, and Iframe at 18, max bitrate 2048. At the BI interface, it shows the cam's framerate wavers from 7-15.30 and bit rate is around 256. I've set the BI...

Anyone have issues with the latest may 14th update?

Seems that since the May 14th Blue Iris 64 update, one of my cams, a hikvision DS-2CD752MF has reverted back to an old behavior I'd fixed some time ago. As an object moves through its field of view, at several points, it will smear/trail for a moment. Was fine for months and just started it...

Review - TOP-201 Super Mini 720P HD IP-Cam (The Cheapest IP Cam So Far !!)

Yeah, I couldn't imagine why (Android App) IP Cam viewer would have issue with it. Although they were mentioning the issue in relation to the 1080 unit as opposed to the 720. I doubt it would be much different. User error I imagined. I may just have to get one and see exactly what is up with...

Review - TOP-201 Super Mini 720P HD IP-Cam (The Cheapest IP Cam So Far !!)

Very cool! Looking forward to hearing of it. I mostly like the potential of it because of the pinhole like lens as I'd like to build it pseudo covertly (for less likelihood of vandalism) into an entrance door frame at eye level. And it seems like a good possible. Nonetheless, the 720 cams...

Question viewing older DS-2CD752MF VLC/Blue Iris/IP Cam Viewer

Just an FYI... Been a busy week, but deleted the cam on BI4, and just set it up again using the above mentioned settings by Fenderman, and the now issue is gone. Reasonably smooth and no more 3 second pause/jump with the BI4 feed and clock overlay. Thanks (again) for taking time to look this...

Setting Up iVMS-4200 to find HIKVision D2332 Camera

I'm no expert, one will be along I'm sure. But... In the meanwhile... I used SADP from Hikvision to do that. It finds the cam and gives you the ability to edit some settings. Hope that is of some help... SADP Software - Tools - Download - Support - Hikvision

Question viewing older DS-2CD752MF VLC/Blue Iris/IP Cam Viewer

I don't record this cam, but I will do some when more activity is outside and see if it is exhibited in them. I suppose this is considered the live view with Blue Iris. Ok, Unchecked Adjust Auto, and set to 20, the next step up. And set Iframe interval 15. Still has the issue. Sooo...

:) Was just reading a post of yours regarding this in some aspect in the BI forum area. Thanks for your input here, and in the past as well. Ok... Not seeing a setting for bitrate in Blue Iris, In the camera's config, for Mainstream, Bitrate is set at 3072, "Bitrate type" in the cam's...
