    Yeah I didn't have long but it was enough to determine that I want a better night image for my coverage. I tried color and B&W neither was satisfactory for me. It's not a bad camera just didn't work for my night imaging needs.

    I had high hopes for this but didn't work for me. Auto tracking was actually decent but night image wasn't that good for 2MP. I think I will have to swallow the cost and go with 4MP with bigger sensor.

    I received SD5A425XA-HNR while playing around with it I noticed that at night when camera is moved or auto tracking started image becomes noisy until the camera stops moving it goes back to cleaner image. Is there some setting that might be causing this?

    I have done that too but again I wish they would have updated cams with human tracking only. I have much cheaper camera I bought from AliExpress to try out and it works perfectly good to track only humans wish Hikvision would release new version.

    I have ds-2de4a425iw-de and it's my favorite cam. 60 fps with 25x zoom and auto tracking is just awesome. Unfortunately it's an older cam and lacks human/car detection and as a result lots of false tracking of birds, leaves etc... I made it workable somewhat but wondering is there a newer one...

    I noticed the same issue more bright flood lights are worse for camera then lower wattage side lights. I did turn on BLC to help this a bit.

    Yes you need some light no magic here. I haven't tried built in light though just relying on street light. While picture is color and amazing I still prefer my other G2 IR cams in the back because they can work in total darkness with IR.

    For this particular case 2.8mm works good. For me it's useless. I would either capture a bush or a garage door.

    I used to like turrets but they are pretty large for Hikvision at least. Mini bullets look better and less stand out

    Variable 8k. Haven't tried with constant. Btw I also got this ColorVu camera with 4mm lens from Ali Express seller. Its pricey but performance is worth it.

    Are you relying entirely on built in leds or there is street lighting as well? In my testing with good street lights I can do 1/100 easily and no ghosting or blur. Not even using built in leds.
