I saw some mp3 doorbells with pressure senstive mats that will trigger when someone steps on them but thats not quite what i am looking for for. Anyway its a future project when i am done with all the camera setups around the house and externat IR lights. Might be awhile so i will continiue look...- Myllerman

Got my Dahua 4MP IPC-HDBW4421R-AS 2.8mm
With standard setting (microwave power is adjustble) range seems to be about 30 feet where i have it installed. Increasing the power should increase the range (cant confrm thought) but at the place i have it 30feet is perfect. Any longer and bushes in wind might false trigger. I have not had... -

Is there some cheap device that can play a soundfile when triggered or powered on ? I want there to be "elevator music" playing when someone comes to the door :cool: (for fun) I think i saw somthing like that on ebay once but cant remember what i searched for.- Myllerman

Yeah mayby. Will see how it looks tonight as is first. I used black tape on the inside so the light cant come down on on the sensor directly. There is plenty of light in front of the door but to the sides farther away i need more so i ordered a separate 12v IR light to shine where the camera... -

Here is where the camera ended up now :P Tried to make it semi hidden so the camera sees the person before they see the camera. Dont know how well the IR will come out, will see tonight. I have plenty of normal lightning anyway. Some tape visible riuning the clean look doh ! -

Hehe yeah my ususal luck. I always get the "duds" or something goes wrong. I am used to it :P Btw vendor said they had no firmware and i had to send it back if i want it in english so that confirms what you said. I dont feel like doing that atm as the camera is installed and "working". -

When looking at recordings from the sd card in the app you have to choose what alarm type it should look for. For some reason you can only search for one alarm type at the time or else it will not find any recordings. So you have to use the three sliders to activate the right alarm type. I dont... -

For anyone wondering. I did some googl:ing and i found several others that had reset the camera and ended up with chinese. So dont do a hard reset unless you really have to ;) Still waiting for response from seller about FW. Btw, the camera works fine now except the chinese but i can live with... -

Hmm yeah i did not think of that hehe. Feels kind of obvius now that you meantioned it :P You mean mesure what happens when i flip the relay if i get a 12v potential between alarm out and 12v source. Was so long ago i did anything electrical i forgot so much. Thanks. -

Here is my installation with Bosch Tritech PIR. Quite new on installing stuff so there are things to improve for sure. The black wires are too exposed, cut them to short. Need to make some kind of screen to direct the light from the led on the camera becose its bouncing of the celingboard... -

I am about to connect a strobe to Dahua camera. I wanted to double check so i dont fry anything becouse when google:ing i saw some different alternetives that made me abit confused :) Do i connect the Dahua alarm out -> strobe ground -> strobe posetive (120ma) -> 12v ? Is this correct ? -

Omg how is this possible. I opened the camera and did a hardreset. Logged in to the camera. Everything looked normal. Changed the ip from .108 to .112 pressed save. Now the camera is all in chinese ??????.. whyyyyyyyyyyy.. Chinese is a different firmware how can it change... *edit* Oh well, i... -

Got a problem. Everytime i cut power or reeboot to the camera and power up again i get old settings. Even the network adress is the old one (.108). I thought it was a browser cacheproblem first so i set it to delete all history/temp on close but that wasnt it. I will try and format the sdcard in... -

I do have some issues some hours during the day if the sun is hot and its windy but it was to be expected at the location i have it. 70% of the picture is of a big bush and when wind and sun hits it the PIR senses it. I didnt get the PIR for daylight sensing thought but for night when its bug... -

Here is inside the PIR. Black wires are 12v power. Yellow alarm-in and grey ground. Bit messy lol. The PIR is at an strange angle becouse its higher up than recommended but it needs to be there to get protection from rain/snow. Need to tilt it slightly down to cover all the area. -

The messege probably referes to the receiver field. The email needs to go somewhere.
