Replacing/upgrading BNC cameras on Ganz DR4N

Well, the camera and the PFB203W have a diameter of about 122 mm. The PFA103 has a diameter of 133. Might be an issue of the bolt holes? The 203 has 2 or 3 sets. Not sure on the 103 - if it i a flat surface that could be drilled in that way. If that is all it is, I can drill and tap those...

Replacing/upgrading BNC cameras on Ganz DR4N

Yea the arm won't work by it's self- you need the adapter... Sure looks like the PFA103 adapter would work. http://ustest.dahuasecurity.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Datasheet_Mount_Adapter_PFA103_v001_001.pdf And, if it works, heck the arm should too.???

Replacing/upgrading BNC cameras on Ganz DR4N

I have those mounts on some other cameras, but they don't stick out from the wall far enough. There are some awnings along over some doorways on the building I need to get around a little. I think the PFB302S will get me a few more inches, but I have not seen any dimensions. I really would...

Replacing/upgrading BNC cameras on Ganz DR4N

There are just so many different camers, with just slight different specs. Makes it hard I guess. I asked Andy about the A22AH9z, and he mentioned these HAC-HDW2231R-Z-DP. The look like startlight and nearly identical specs.

How do you all watch Dahua cams on your tv's

So, you didn't already have an NVR? I already have all the cameras connected to an NVR. Just want to monitor them remotely. This is the way I am leaning.. Wonder how it has been going for him, now a few months have passed.

Replacing/upgrading BNC cameras on Ganz DR4N

OK, so the DVR can't handle the HD signal from that 1080 camera. Needs to be a SD camera, or switchable. Like a A21BM0V Dahua A21BM0V 2MP IR Indoor/Outdoor Dome HD-CVI Security Camera - $108.00 New cables not an option at this time. DVR still works and video quality is acceptable for the...

Replacing/upgrading BNC cameras on Ganz DR4N

So I have a Ganz DR4N with a few cameras on it. Dated, but working fine, except a couple of the cameras are starting to fail. The DR4N is 704x480 I guess. I want the best quality camera practical. I am looking at the HAC-HDW2221EM-A Looks like it a 1080 camera. Would that signal be...

How do you all watch Dahua cams on your tv's

I can confirm that - I searched the apps on my samsung and did not find tinycam. Also, when I put in my IP address in the TV browser, I was able to loginto the NVR, but could not see the video streams. It did not tell me, but I am probably missing the plugin that is required in some browsers...

    Dahua motion detect recording delay

When I am recording just motion on my NVR4208-8P-4KS2, it always misses the 1st several seconds. There is a setting in the camera - event/video detection/record delay that appears to have a minimum value of 10sec. Is that related? Is it not possible to record immediately, or even a few...

Surely it is not that difficult - NVR operation

Me too. :D well, I thought I might have stumbled on the fix when it was mentioned that IVS needs to be setup in the camera, in addition to, or instead of the NVR. So, I tried, but no luck yet. The IVS rules from my NVR where already present in the camera web interface. However... the email...

Surely it is not that difficult - NVR operation

I just went to the camera web brouser and checked. Unfortunately, it says I need a plugin for the video(which won't load, but that's another problem). Anyway, I can still check some of the settings without it. My encoding is set to 264H and I do see the IVS rules I created before. I guess I...

Great. Thanks Am I correct in thinking that the IVS tripwire on the setup screen changes colors when it is activated? Can you turn them on so they are visible during playback?

Surely it is not that difficult - NVR operation

Strange - When I setup my NVR, I selected 12hr format. The playback timeline is still 24hr, I wish it reflected the change. But that is not what is strange. The emails I am getting from the motion are coming in with the alarm date and time correct, but in 24hr format. This is the text in the...

Surely it is not that difficult - NVR operation

I just went out with my laptop and watched my preview on the IVS screen live while making changes. With the tripwire drawn across the screen, it never changes color like some of the videos I have seen do. I increased the length, and changed the direction to both. Nothing changed. However, as...

Surely it is not that difficult - NVR operation

Thank you for the help. Yes, with the exception of my 4 sec pre-record time, it looks like yours. IVS-tab is as you describe. I did check the email box on the MD-tab. I will see if that change works, I just don't want an email on motion only. Will report back...

Surely it is not that difficult - NVR operation

1 - yes I am able to get email from the NVR 2 - I do have IVS, and motion set for 24/7 on both cameras, but only general 24/7 on the one. 3 - yes 4 - Only the motion has an Enable to select at the top. IVS does not have an enable to select. I do not want email on motion, only IVS. Do I...

Surely it is not that difficult - NVR operation

As I mentioned, getting around much better now. I am now able to get email messages from my NVR by selecting the test button. But I have an issue with my IVS settings. I have a couple of lines - one on each of my cameras - and I have the IVS rule to send an email. I never get anything. No...
