Remind me on a Dahua NVR, where you go to set the # seconds it should pre-record for a camera's IVS rule? For example, if my IVS rule is triggered, I want the camera to record the 15 seconds BEFORE the event happened as well, so in my DMSS app I can easily see what led up to the IVS event...- JesseSR

T-Mobile 5G Home Internet AND Blue Iris
Nice, yeah before T-Mobile I also had a site to site bridged wireless link to my ISP as well (not on a tower but on a NPR/mast on my roof) ... I got a whopping 8Mb/1Mb with it, so the T-Mobile setup with my externals is so much nicer. I'm also on the waiting list for StarLink since Jan 2021...- JesseSR

Just a quick, your NVR model should have 8 alarm outs on it as well. Meaning, you wouldn't even necessarily need to use the alarm outs on your cameras, you could instead use the ones on the NVR. it can save you cabling costs/installs since you wouldn't have to run dual ethernet cables to your... -
Video Stutter?
One comment about this... If you're seeing stuttering, I would strongly suggest you open a command prompt and do a "ping [ip address of cam] -t" and let that run in the background (preferably running the ping command from a device that's hardwired via Ethernet cable and -not- wirelessly... -

Yea to clarify, I don't set ANY camera settings in the NVR. They are ALL done directly via IP and IE to the cameras, I've been doing that since day 1. An NVR reset shouldn't reset configuration on a camera, but it basically hosed everything. -

Yes, correct. I set everything on the cameras themselves, not the NVR. The things I lost varied on each cameras but in general, it was the daylight saving time settings and NTP settings, it was all the Video settings (H264, bit rate, frame rates, etc.) , it was all the IVS settings... -

The RESET (not Factory Reset) of the NVR fixed the Alarm Outs issues. All 8 Alarm Outs are now working again. (unfortunately, the RESET also whacked the configuration of my cameras settings so I had to redo ALL of the picture, exposure, video, DST/TIME, IVS rules, etc.) -
