I need a recommendation for a wide-angle, outdoor camera and parapet wall mount

I wonder if this would work: PFB303S -> PFA103 -> PFA130-E -> Eyeball cameras I still have several of the PFA130-E mounts left over. I will order a PFA103 and see if it fits the parapet mount.

I need a recommendation for a wide-angle, outdoor camera and parapet wall mount

I am fine with eyeball or turret cameras, I mostly want to look down in front of the front, side, and rear doors. I may end up having to drill through the wall but was hoping to avoid that if I could find an appropriate parapet wall mount.

I need a recommendation for a wide-angle, outdoor camera and parapet wall mount

I would like to stick with Dahua cameras as that is what I currently use (I have 50 cameras online so far). I am looking for a camera I can mount on a parapet mount on my roof that will hang over the tilt wall. I bought a Dahua Parapet mount I found on sale (PFB303S ), but these seem to be made...

UI3 refusing connections from specific IP addresses in my network

So far I still haven't found any rhyme or reason to it. All the office PCs have the same firewall rules and nothing has changed on either the clients or the server, yet it refused to connect to some clients.

UI3 refusing connections from specific IP addresses in my network

I am running 5.3.3.9 x64 Have you tried toggling the service off and on? That works for me at times, but not always.

I turned those features off just to be sure, but same issue.

UI3 refusing connections from specific IP addresses in my network

We have no Vlans setup at this time. Nothing has changed on the Web Server settings that I can tell. The IP and Port are correct. What is really odd is that one of my managers who is having this issue says that when he logs onto his PC with HIS windows domain login, the cameras will not connect...

UI3 refusing connections from specific IP addresses in my network

About a week ago I restarted the smart switches in my network after performing a firmware upgrade. Since then, we cannot access the UI3 webpage from specific computers in the office. These are computers that monitored the cameras prior with no issues. I can't find any rhyme or reason to it...

Please review my archiving layout and comment

Thanks for the input. 1 - Interesting, I guess that makes sense, but I have also seen lots of suggestions about leaving the most recent on SSD for faster access. Is there much difference between the SSD or the Purples to justify shortening the life of the SSD? 2 - That is a good suggestion...

Raspberry Pi Users Unite: What are you using your Raspberry Pi Devices For?

We have a rubber trap and paper targets so there is no splatter. The cameras themselves are up above the steel baffles so not visible by the shooters (and protected from getting shot), and probably about 30 feet away from the targets.

Raspberry Pi Users Unite: What are you using your Raspberry Pi Devices For?

We recently built an indoor shooting range that includes 4 100 yard rifle lanes. I placed 4 50mm zoom cameras downrange focused on the targets at 100 yards. In the stalls I added small 1080p monitors to each Pi and use the Displaycameras package to show the RTSP feed of each respective camera...

Configure Blue Iris to record on substream, but switch to main stream for single-camera live view?

Yes I understand that, which is why I said I will go back and take a look at that when I am back in the office. My followup question was which stream does it record and are their options to control that. Thanks.

Configure Blue Iris to record on substream, but switch to main stream for single-camera live view?

Ok cool. I only entered the substream string into the main stream box and left the substream box empty. I will take a look at this when I am in the office on Monday. What about for recording? Is there an option to tell it which stream to record?

Configure Blue Iris to record on substream, but switch to main stream for single-camera live view?

I am still fairly new to BI and learning it's capabilities, which are super impressive given it's unbelievably low price. So far I have 44 cameras installed on my site, with plans to install more for a total of around 57 cameras. With this many cameras I have configured the video settings of the...

Date/Time overlay - Camera, or Blue Iris, or both?

Yes everything is working fine now. I just enabled the Windows Time NTP server on my BI server, which is Window 10 and on my Windows domain.

I think that was the last remaining issue, thanks. Now I just have 50 more cameras to log into and tweak time settings on...

Date/Time overlay - Camera, or Blue Iris, or both?

I can't seem to get this to work. I followed the directions in that link you sent, the Windows Time service is running on my BI server, it is enabled, I allow both incoming and outgoing UDP port 123 in the firewall, and I set the NTP settings of my camera at the IP address of the BI server, yet...

I cannot login to any of my IPC-T2231T-ZS-S2 cameras after initial setup and set of admin password

I have been configuring a large number of Dahua cameras for my new building over the past several days. Today I started working with the IPC-T2231T-ZS-S2 cameras, which are 2MP varifocal cameras I bought from Empire Andy. Unlike all the previous cameras I configured, once I get past the initial...

Date/Time overlay - Camera, or Blue Iris, or both?

What is the best practice for Date/Time overlay on cameras? I have 2 right now and they differ by a few seconds. Is it best to disable the camera overlay and just use the Blue Iris date/time, or the other way around?

Is it possible to get an RTSP stream through the BI web server?

I am trying to test running an RTSP stream through the BI web server to VLC. Ultimately I will be sending the stream to a Raspberry Pi but VLC is easier to test the stream with. The software I am using on RPi only supports an H264 RTSP stream. Is this possible to get through the BI web server...

Hardware for live-view monitor of 16 cameras in matrix

I'm currently trying to configure a RPi 4 with 4GB to work with the displaycameras service. My test cameras support an H264 subsbtream at 704x480. I also purchased an inexpensive 4K TV for the display. So far I am not getting good results and I suspect the issue is with poor support for 4k...

Anybody use OpenVPN server on Windows

Assign the Pi a static IP and connect it to your network. On your router you need to setup a port forwarding rule to forward UDP 1194 to the IP of your Pi. On your remote device, you run an OpenVPN client and then you can open a remote connection to your camera server, or any machine on your...

Help me spend some money specing out a 48 camera Blue Iris server and storage

I got the first server built and Windows 10 Pro installed. I will purchase and install BI next week. Thanks for all the help. The Noctua NH-L9x65 does fit, but only by about 1/4". This cooler is rated at 95W TDP so should be fine if I don't overclock it. If I do I will have to move it to a...

Pole mounting something like the Dahua IPC-HDW2231R-ZS from a commercial ceiling joist

I have an open ceiling in my showroom and I want to drop them down from the trusses or joists. My open ceiling is spray-painted black so I was thinking an EMT conduit painted black with some sort of pendant mount on the back of the camera that can thread onto the EMT, and then I have a mount on...

Pole mounting something like the Dahua IPC-HDW2231R-ZS from a commercial ceiling joist

What sort of base, conduit, and combination of parts do people use to drop down a turret camera into something like a retail space? Or is there a decent commercial product available at a good price?

Help me spend some money specing out a 48 camera Blue Iris server and storage

I think I will try to see if the Noctua NH-L9x65 will fit. It's 2.5" tall so will be close, but the NH-L9i is only good to 65W TDP but the i9-9900K needs 95W TDP. Even if it fits, I may need to drill some holes in the case top above the CPU cooler in order to allow some airflow from the fan...
