Change Day Schedule on Dahua IP Camera via Dahua API

Thanks for clarifying the issue on the Night settings. It appears that the API, for that call, is requiring some additional information in order to generate an additional time block as it bounces back an error. Looks like that is most likely undocumented in the API listings. Yes, using three...

Change Day Schedule on Dahua IP Camera via Dahua API

Appreciate your time and effort to come up with an API to switch Time Plan Settings. It would be nice if the HTTP API would address these issues, but the document does not. Using the following PTZ for day/night operations - Web 5 Device Model: Dahua SD5A425XA-HNR (PTZ5A4M-25X) Algorithm...

Moving on from 2020 Lorex Nk264-89AB 9 Camera System?

You may be well past the CostCo electronics return time. For digital POE camera the use of CAT-5 is good enough. No need for a better version as it is generally rated at 350 megs. A Dahua camera comes in around the 10 meg bandwidth range. Read through the threads to get an idea of what is...

    LPR - Night time

As stated in many threads, on this site, a camera with a 1/2.7 sensor at 8 megs will have close to zero night performance. Your best best is to return the camera and purchase one of the suggested units for LPR use. IMO, this is one application that being 'cheap' will not pay off!

Do I need a IR Illuminator?

Yes, would second the opinion on adding an additional IR emitter (light) to illuminate the areas of interest. Plus, as suggested above, turn off the camera IR as your area of interest is at the far end. Perhaps try mounting the IR lamp on the left post facing the far end. And there may also...

    SD4A425DB-HNY Day/Night Switch

So far Mode 1, 2 and 3 work. What is interesting is that 'General' is called 'Normal' in the API. It would be great if the API would follow the naming scheme that is used in the camera UI or the other way around. In the new blue interface one would think that listed 9 profiles (Front Light -...

If you have other cameras see if there is success or not. Sometimes, the browser will reply back 'OK' but no action occurs. Or 'error' is reported. Generally 'error' indicates that something is not correct with the entered API. What you are seeing when tested?

    SD4A425DB-HNY Day/Night Switch

Have been testing this API for switching from full time day to full time night and general. Tested three cameras including the 180 degree Dahua and so far so good. Usually test by entering the API into browser and then port over to Hubitat that is on the same sub net as BI and the cameras for...

Dual Blue Iris NICs Need to Talk to One Another

Background Using a Windows 11 desktop for BI with in a dual NIC configuration. One NIC at 192.168.55.xxx (BI and cameras) and the other at 192.168.1.120 for UI3 set as a static address with no default gateway. Neither NIC can access the internet as there is no DNS server address (Use the...

Service hardware requirements for 8-10 4K (8mp) cameras

One suggestion is to keep the day profile in color and set the night profile in B/W. Depending on the camera under the day & night settings select mode to be B/W for the profile night mode and for day color for the mode. Then save.

BI Event Schedule Will Not Process Relative Event Time Past Midnight

Appreciate the work around using the Window's task scheduler. That may be a nice alternative to using BI PTZ provided that the selected function could be set relative to local sunrise/set. Overall, would rather use Hubitat for these HTTP API calls, but have not found a way to get Hubitat and...

P2P IP Camera Viewer for Smartphones

Another possibility would be to use a website much like those used for traffic cams. Upload a static image once every 10 to 15 minutes depending on your available bandwidth. Or even limit new image uploads from 8 am to 8 pm as an example. Let customers access all of the pets via a web URL...

IVS not triggering on IPC T5442T-ZE

Same basic issue with the 5442. A workaround, in my case, was to put both cameras in a BI "group". Thus if one camera fired on the IVS rule the other would follow. Or it would also be possible to have no IVS or motion rules for one camera and have the working camera always trigger both...

    IPC-Color4K-T180 LEDs

A slow shutter speed is not the answer to capturing motion. It works well for a stationary object but will result in a blurred image if motion is significant. If at all possible, like to stay above 8 ms (1/125 second) shutter speed. In some cases 10 ms (1/100) or even 16.67 ms (1/60) could...

    Running 12v over Cat6

Agree, that is one big capacitor. Another issue will be initial charging current as that capacitor will look like a dead short to a 2 amp power supply. Which in turn may shut down the power supply if it has over current protection. Or it not, it could end up being a smoke test! One could...

How do you color calibrate a camera?

One could also try a color picker for Windows to read the screen (monitor) RGB value. Included in Micosoft Power Tools is a free screen color picker. With a mouse over it will read the screen color in RGB and HEX. Perhaps a solution to professional costly devices as only a crude reference is...

How do you color calibrate a camera?

One way to match (not tested) between cameras is to try the following. 1) In WB settings choose either auto or natural and save. 2) In WB setting select "Manual". The red and blue values should be displayed for your settings in step one. 3) On your second camera for WB use "Manual" and...
