    scrambled green screen

If by workaround… the settings help indicate the alternatives. Nothing wrong with UI3 if you use recommended setting it says HTML/auto may not work on some browsers I only have the issue with Chrome and using Auto All other Firefox Edge Vivaldi work perfectly JavaScript setting is...

    scrambled green screen

Change the player to JAVASCRIPT. No more issues. The "green screen" ONLY happened using Chrome. It also only happened on one of my older computers with a 17-4770 cpu. "Automatic" is preferred, "UNLESS". Javascript is slower but solved the compatibility issue. As from the UI3 help shown.

    scrambled green screen

EDIT. It only happens using CHROME browser. I cannot replicate the green screen in FIREFOX or EDGE. Figures.

    scrambled green screen

Read this entire thread, stumped. It only happens on one machine (Win 10, I-7 4770, 16g ram). It happens when vewing ALERTS. Clicking in/out to a different clip the green screen goes away. Also when jumping to full screen LIVE VIEW, it has shown green screen. It does NOT happen on my server...

    BI update broke Alerts

I have all the boxes checked for the Zones.. is that what you are saying?

    BI update broke Alerts

Thanks for that info, like I said, BI is VERY robust and it's been a pure joy to have and works exceptionally well. Admittedly, it is "so feature packed", I've read the BI manual several times and STILL there are settings and so on that are a bit elusive to me. I do like the "bleeding edge" and...

    BI update broke Alerts

OK no that was not a BI criticism. It's like when Windows gives updates upon updates, or other programs I have (some website items, like Envira). Let me state that I absolutely love Blue Iris, and being new.... there is a learning curve.

    BI update broke Alerts

Wow. I don't have a problem with updates, it's just that suddenly there were a daily succession of updates. Since I am defending myself from your comment, yes, I did not notice the difference between "regular" updates and "beta". I generally get the pop up for updates and then install which...

    BI update broke Alerts

This morning's update (and there has been one every day for the past 2-3 days!) seems to have broken my "motion alerts" on one of my cameras. The alerts timeline did not show any clip even though there was activity. It was necessary to change the settings from "Alerts" to "Zone A" in order for...

    Outdoor rated cable?

I used True Cable. Got a 250 foot roll... way more than needed. Excellent quality. It is shielded. Perhaps I would have gotten the unshielded... this cable is thicker than standard indoor Cat6. I buried it inside PVC gray pipe, about a 50 foot outside run, the other length was under the house.

Blue Iris video suddenly has "Ghost" images and chop

I set BI decode to Nvidia@NVDEC but the status shows "N" for video decode. Previously it showed I+ for the Intel but you said that did not mean it was actually being used. However, with BOTH enabled (Intel and Nvidia) my Task Manager showed GPU 0 and GPU 1 both active and each had a different...

Blue Iris video suddenly has "Ghost" images and chop

Ok to clarify. I am using the Nvidia GPU video output. Nothing is using the onboard video connections. My original settings were "Intel+VPP" and did not have any issues, all worked fine. Only when I turned on the Intel CPU graphics in the motherboard BIOS..things began to cause issues. I...

Blue Iris video suddenly has "Ghost" images and chop

PS. The Nvidia runs the PC monitor.... I use this compter for some other things, but it is the main BI PC.

Blue Iris video suddenly has "Ghost" images and chop

Then this: Can I use Intel graphics and Nvidia at the same time? Both cards can remain active at the same time, but not for the same application. The integrated graphic chipset is the one responsible for switching on the dedicated graphic card when an application, such as a game, requires...

Blue Iris video suddenly has "Ghost" images and chop

I had Intel VPP And not an Nvidia So activating Intel would not need any settings change for decoding

Blue Iris video suddenly has "Ghost" images and chop

The first thing I did was ask "what changed"? I saw on a Tech site that you could utilize the Nvidia graphiscs card AND use the onboard (Intel) graphics for the video decode so it would "help, offload or share" the video processing. So I enabled the on board graphics via BIOS... and the Task...

Blue Iris video suddenly has "Ghost" images and chop

This only started recently, about the time as the last BI upgrade where the new "time line" was added to the UI3 remote viewing. However it also happens on the main BI pc. The only thing changed recently (by me) was to activate the on board graphics (which were disabled because I have a video...

    5.5.5 - February 2, 2022

I am on version 5.5.5.5 now and there are no bars whatsoever. The cameras (both, I only have two) are set as before, continuous recording with alerts.. no .JPEG The bar is taller and absent colors..all black. Only blue vertical line to show where along the time bar you are. Going to wait to...

    Coyte attack of cat

This video was a coyote attack on an unsuspecting cat from the neighborhood. (Spoiler Alert: the cat survived). A juvenile coyote got the cat, and it was a fight for it's life. A second juvenile coyote joined in. The cat was able to hide on our front porch, and about 30 minutes later (after...

    Blue Iris Remote "BUSY"

Update (ICAOC)... seems the Blue Iris was flaky due to one of the ethernet cables on the remote router. However the UNIVIEW camera FAILED and it's RMA'ed back to the company for warranty or to figure what happened. A new camera is on the way.

    Blue Iris Remote "BUSY"

Actually logging into the access point directly (different IP) on Iphone it works perfectly. I think something tweaked in the router.. one is main, the other is set as access point. May do reset.

    Blue Iris Remote "BUSY"

The interface is working (it wasn't) and now it's S-L-O-W. I switched by logging into the WIFI on the access point and got the Iphone to show the Blue Iris interface. It's still a bit slow. The desktop (remote) now loads "most" of the screen/clips, but it has the spinning wheel (poor...

    Blue Iris Remote "BUSY"

This just started yesterday after a "power outage". Several IP's were reset (by one digit), which is odd. I have returned all to correct settings. NOW by BI remote (which is wireless access point) gives me continual "busy" and only loads if I turn down the resolution to below 720mp. It was...

Camera type? with ethernet connection inside camera body??

Thanks. I am likely going to use bullet style, and was considering the Annke NC800.... but it's a guess on my part. Some people I know running home systems use a mix, Hikvision and Dahu cameras. I just was looking to avoid drilling large holes in the wall of my stucco house.

Camera type? with ethernet connection inside camera body??

I am new. What I am seeking is a model of IP camera which has the ethernet POE connection inside the camera. 10 years ago we installed GeoVision, I thought they had a design where you could run ethernet cable thru a small hole in the wall and then attach the plug, then it plugged into a port...
