    Question @fenderman : When you clone the cams you effectively double the cpu hammering right? I have given some thought about secondary backup of my BI recordings in the event a burglar steals my server at my church. Offsite backup is out of the question. A hidden network drive is a possibility.

    WD 4TB Purple drive failure

    I have my dad's BI server running 2 8TB Seagate NAS drives in Mirror mode using Windows Storage spaces. I did it a while back and now realize it isn't a recommended solution for NVR. But it's working and another primary purpose of that server is data backups for his shop and personal PCs.

    It isn't the issue. The issue occurs long after or before the sunset utility changes the focus. I have 3 others of the same model not having this problem. Only difference is this one is zoomed much further out

    Yes mine will shift on its own. If I stop and restart my sunrise / sunset utility the focus will return where it should be (sends out focus command again). These cameras are always in autofocus mode from what I know. Your just isnt zoomed in tight enough to have the shift issue I guess. My...

    What blows my mind is all the posts about these cameras loosing focus. Why can Dahua write in the firmware an option to dissable autofocus if wanted. I would love to be able to just dissable autofocus and let my sunrise utility service take care of the focus. Sent from my VS990 using Tapatalk
