    Issues with day/night

that looks like the "conditions" tab, can you click the tab that says "profile management"? I have two cameras with the same model number as you and they have a tab called "profile management"

    Sentry Smart Report 2.0

Despite the above observations, I am not "unhappy" with Sentry in general, it is saving a lot of headaches by suppressing most false alerts. I am too lazy to get Deepstack working with BI at the moment but appreciate all the work others are doing to implement it, so will keep paying for Sentry...

    Sentry Smart Report 2.0

don't know if it is coincidence (or because I posted the message above) but Sentry Support just now replied to my email (two days later) advising they will fix the opt-out link

    Sentry Smart Report 2.0

"Sentry Smart Report 2.0" does not render properly in my email client (MS Outlook on a Windows PC)... something to do with how they have written the HTML ? If I open the email through the Gmail web interface, the report is a bit better formatted, however there is still an HTML error when I try...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

main menu -> settings/info -> export settings -> "Blue Iris.reg" you probably already know that you can get your full (unmasked) license key copied to your clipboard by clicking "email support" from the settings screen

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

I did not deactivate anything, just uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled (brand-new install screen came up with no cameras), entered my registration string (that I had previously copied to a txt file) then imported my last BI.reg file so all the cameras + settings appeared where they should be I...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

don't know if it helped.... (or if you should try it) but I did a full uninstall, reboot, reinstall, just prior to updating to 5.2.8.0 I have sub-streams on all 28 cameras and CPU just under 10% when idle, which is a massive drop from before sub-streaming was an option

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

I have had 5.2.8.0 running for a few hours today and all working fine, other than when checking the logs I see the usual "Restarted after unexpected shutdown"... the service seems to "unexpectedly" shutdown and then restart immediately, leading to a few seconds of lost video. I have yet to...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

so the problem is probably at the BI end if you want, I can check it with Teamviewer
  16. B

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

should look like this: [had to paste it as an image as the double slash kept being replaced with a single slash which doesn't work]
  17. B

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

that should say double forward slash not single forward slash above, after rtsp [something keeps auto-correcting this from double slash to single slash, for some reason]
  18. B

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

run VLC then ctrl + N then type rtsp:/192.168.1.52/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1&unicast=true&proto=Onvif [or whatever the appropriate stream string is] VLC will prompt you for the camera username and password and then if the sub stream is working, you should see it in VLC - I just...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

to exclude BI as the problem, can you try using VLC instead to look at the sub-stream? RTSP Streaming for VLC (VideoLAN Media Player) Under Media/Open Network Stream (Ctrl+N)... enter your RTSP string
  20. B

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

you could try deleting the camera and starting again, add the ip address and let BI auto-detect it, then add the sub stream (I seem to recall someone else found this to be a solution)
  21. B

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

on my Dahua cameras, my substream is /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=2&unicast=true&proto=Onvif note the only difference on the above stream from main to sub is "subtype=2" (on the main stream it is "subtype=0" ..... on the sub stream it is "subtype=2" because I am using substream 2 @1080p...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

Thanks. I had only started checking the logs quite recently, because of instability of one or two recent versions (specifically with clip playback, using substreams) so maybe this is not actually new, or limited to the last few versions.... good to know.

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

....and now rolled back to 5.2.7.7 again as 5.2.7.12 just restarted by itself; it was worth a try though.
  29. B

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

5.2.7.12 is working OK for me so far extended support is paid up until the end of the year so no evaluation messages UI3 still showing substreams when individual cameras selected, not main stream
