It's via your phone app where it will show an update is available for your doorbell. I mainly use Hik-Connect and Ezviz for my RCA HSDB2A. Wonder if any of the Laview owners know if the Q2 firmware update that supports ONVIF from Laview Halo ONE is still on time or delayed into later this year. -

This unit is 2.4GHz only unlike the newer version 2(HSDB2) where it is 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Never experienced that much latency with good wi-fi signal strength on my RCA HSDB1 unit when I had it for a year. -

Maybe try rebooting NVR as your doorbell's web browser works fine and ping is fine from your machine. Others might have some suggestion as I'm out of ideas since the only time I had issue accessing doorbell via NVR was when I did a reset on doorbell and haven't changed password so it was still... -

That is odd as RTSP via VLC should have worked as basic test of stream. Not sure that changing IP address would do anything as you already have it partially working =>"Still able to access the doorbell ip through web browser". You've already reset the doorbell so registering to cloud backend... -

Unless you upgraded router, changed config on NVR or have some network equipment filtering traffic, I haven't experienced that on my NVR. Try using RTSP(customized) to see if NVR can reach doorbell. rtsp://192.168.x.x/Streaming/Channels/101/ -

I had it running fine on my Dahua NVR5216-4KS2 via ONVIF for a year before I sold it when I upgraded to my HSDB2 doorbell. Maybe try reentering the user and password again in NVR camera registration. I didn't upgrade FW on NVR since Dec 2017 build and can't vouch for newer 2018 FW for the NVR. -

I'm still hedging that the RCA(HSDB2A on RCA site but clearly model "HSDB2" on the S/N label on the doorbell) is the same as LaView/Ezviz/etc. If you look at their FCC filing, it has the same pictures as the LaView and Ezviz. Voxx is who bought the RCA brand and sells the HSDB1 and HSDB2... -

In order to use IFTTT and Alexa on my HSDB1, I had to disable encryption before the cloud backend would sync with IFTTT and Amazon. On HSDB2, I primarily use the Hik-Connect app since it has the wi-fi signal meter and also the call log for when visitors ring the doorbell. Now just waiting for... -
