    Chromecast working...!

There is a good thread on here where they discuss which releases of processors include what new enhancements. I just got lucky with some local guy on Craigslist was having issues with trying to build a machine for something else. I do see i-7700 desktops for $600 at Dell. Check the deal...

    Rich Notifications

RIght, thats automatic once you change ssl to something besides 443. But your LAN is HTTP also, I missed that earlier. Ok. I'll test all this tonight from inside my LAN, I cant NAT to 443 on the outside.

So I used the exact same setting, no luck on my end. I'm curious if anyone with an Android has every gotten an image notification or if anyone with an iPhone has ever gotten a blank notification.

Great. thanks. I'm going to try to replicate on my end. The things that stand out to me are. BlueIris and STunnel using Default/Standard ports (80 and 443) Require Authentication set to Non-LAN Only Use Secure Session keys and Login Page Disabled Allow Directory Listing Enabled Usae Deflate...

    Rich Notifications

Thanks! Do notifications with an image work while on your LAN and while on WAN (away)? The require authentication from Non-LAN only is the only non standard thing I see here that could be something.

Is there a screenshot of anyone having this working? It would be good to know their exact setup. Mine is below, which is not working for Gif Rich Notifications. Blue Iris Web Settings / Stunnel / Firewall Port Forwarding / DNS Modifications / Self signed or Trusted SSL / Phone OS My Setup...

    Chromecast working...!

You are rather new to blueiris, so let me just say over a year ago the Android app was worthless. Over the past year a lot of development has gone into the web version, (ui3) and it's truely amazing now. So I think most of the older users us the web browser to watch it on a screen. For me I...

    Chromecast working...!

Thanks for your update. A few things here. 1. All of your cameras are equal or below the resolution of your TV, most of mine are higher than what my tv can handle. Shouldn't ever be an issue, but we are looking at everything here. 2. Your Chromecast firmware isn't up to date. You most...

    Chromecast working...!

Ok. Here's the deal. I did a ton of playing and for a glimpse of a second I saw one of my many cameras. What really stuck with me was one person in another thread who only got it to work when the used the rotate all cameras, and that was what worked for me for a slight moment in time. I can...

    Chromecast working...!

No that didn't work for me. Can you check your Chromecast version? So mine was purchased in 2013, it's super old. Cast firmware version: 1.32.124602

I'll move my Chromecast to test it out all on the same subnet.

    Chromecast working...!

Thanks! Yeah stunnel will show an error in the log if there is an error in the pem file, so it may not be that which caused it to work. Let me ask you this. Is your Chromecast, blueiris, and phone/Android device all on the same flat network (subnet)? On thing I did notice is if I ask and go...

    Chromecast working...!

Thanks for the great write up! I did exactly as you recommended, but no luck with the chromecast. The SSL cert instructions works, however when I cast the screen just blinks a lot with the BlueIris Logo. Its very possible my Chromecast GEN1 wont work, but I would assume it would. What Gen...

More granular CPU within blue Iris

Thanks, I didn't know about the public DB. great feature. From seeing on here that there are cameras that consumer more % CPU than others, that would also be a nice thing to have; as I have 23 cameras and it seems the more recent ones (WGCC 4MP) are the biggest offenders. One thing the DB...

More granular CPU within blue Iris

First of all, you have an incredible application. I think I share some of the frustrations with others that blueiris updates can seemingly cause high CPU, choppiness, etc.. is there a way to see you utilization per camera or even in a granular way? This would help use help you, and help...

Alerts not Written to DB during Compact/Repair Schedule

For a while now I've always wondered why at 2am I'd receive an Email Alert of motion, however I've never been able to find it on the server. Apparently this happens while the server is Compacting/Repairing the DB. Are there any best practices on how to avoid this data loss? I've change my...

DEAD Small Sized SSD- Word of Caution

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know that. This is a recycled CPU/box. I'll check to see if the motherboard supports a 3rd gen cpu

DEAD Small Sized SSD- Word of Caution

Just want to share my story. A word of caution, as I recently killed by Initial Boot SSD drive (uber small at 64GB). Against common sense; I thought it would be smart to use an old SSD drive I had laying around as the Boot, DB, TEMP and Initial Video Recording drive (with a 4TB Purple Drive as...

    Blue Iris UI3

I'm sure many of you are already aware that this runs on FireStick via Firefox or Silk. However it will only run in JPEG Streaming at a low frame rate. Still amazing to have this as opposed to mirroring, casting, or using TinyCameras on Firestick (which often overheats and crashes. Is there...

limit decoding feature? High CPU or delayed Motion Capture

HAHA. Thanks, yeah the evolution of me configuring the system had more to do with reading posts and a trial and failure approach. The docs you have and the optimization link above have been very helpful. I just recently upgraded my stock i7-2600 CPU fan to a Hyper 212+; and I'm not even...

limit decoding feature? High CPU or delayed Motion Capture

I just went through the optimization page you sent. Most i had set from the forums, but I disabled all overlays. Restarted the service and I'm way down in CPU. Thanks. Specifically I changed these two items, which may have given me the biggest change: Intel HD Hardware Acceleration from...

limit decoding feature? High CPU or delayed Motion Capture

Thanks this article is great, I'll go through this again. Thank you. 0.0000001 bitcoins sent your way (minus transfer fee)... hmm ok you owe me money now. So I'm now DISABLING the Limit Decoding everywhere. I have 20+ cameras, but its odd how everyone has had CPU issues without having made...
