Way too much contrast, that's why the bright headlights. 60% would be better IMHO - set gain 40-50 (tweak form there) I did post a setup procedure in my speed detector hardware post, but you are almost there. Good job! -

In my limited experience. The speeds will be approximate, and no one is going to take uncalibrated readings seriously. Then they we beat you up about how do you "calibrate it". Which is nothing more the using a calibrated tuning fork to verify speed. You could use a Sportster III with display...- Laserray

It called taxes, and I don't pay them to speed without their lights. It was a nice test though. 3 cars, the one speeding was in the middle and the system got it right. It just another example of childish bullshit that goes on everywhere. Adults acting like children. -

Blue Iris is giving me less fits lately. Most of the problems being poor camera voltage, and poor programming of the video overlay. We learned how to get the overlay to work in almost realtime. Plate ID takes 3-4 seconds then posts the results on the video as well as various radar/speed data. -

Correction, the free OPEN version software has no vehicle info. There are two versions of OpenALPR. The commercial version, and the free version on GitHub. The expired commercial version is limit to 1000 hits, which goes fast. -
