    yeah.. that is what i thought. so i'm missing the IR. i set it to manuall and set it to the max. what can be causing this. do i need to zoom in allthe way:?

    I mean its not so bad. but it could be better. I think the angle is ok. I think its the focus not clear enough. please see the attached screen shot.

    i think what i need is have my car parked at that curve so then i can do the adjustment.. becaues i'm doing the adjustment base on the parked car in the driveway which is not correct adjustment. becuase the call driving is like 15 feet from it. know what i mean?

    The distance between them are pretty close, i mounted this on my house and shoot it to the street. I would say 40 feet away. That should be good distance right?

    I tried to adjust the contrast and brightness higher but same result.. This is another car that passed by. I think his license plate is not straight or something. If you look at the car that is parked , the license plate is very clean. Here is my setting as of now..

    Lucky a parked car is on the other side of the street. I was able to see that license plate no problem. But when a car drove by i couldn't see the license plate.     ok. after looking at your configuration and i applied to mine, still not getting license plate to come out. Seem like the license plate is not showing up bright even. I'll mess around with the setting and see if i can get it. Let me go and move the camera down a little bit so it doesn't shoot...

    I got this camera becuase it say it can do LPR. I installed it and attached is the picture it came out. I cannot see the license plate of the car because the light is too bright on the driver car. Is there a setting or guideline i need to adjust to lower the light setting? or disable auto night...

    thank you. but that is too much for my DIY. i would just rather spend the money to get a working inexpensive IP POE cam. I think my budget is around $150-$200 that is doable..

    Can someone recommend some inexpensive LPR camera or just camera to capture license plate during the day? I do not need it at night. I would say 50ft from my garage to the street. If a car drive by I want to capture its license plate? any recommendation on IP POE camera out there? thank you
