    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

Earlier in the thread I posted a Node Red flow to check plate reads for matches and send alerts. Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR. I noted I found a little time to play with it, and the results are below. It could probably be more elegant, but it should get the job done. The plate information...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

I assume license-plates is the AI object and Plates is the OCR/ALPR text? That seems like a good idea if CPAI LPR is checking the text on each image. I'm using Plate Recognizer, so only a single image per alert is analyzed for plate reading, and that enhancement wouldn't be relevant in my...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

@woolfman72 - If you have any questions after looking through the above posts, let me know. Ignore the node-red flow in the first post. The method in the second post is much better. Also, the database was changed a bit, so here is the new database setup: On another topic: I'm using...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

Interesting. I'm still using PR because I did some comparisons on the previous version of CPAI/LPR and was underwhelmed by the accuracy. I need to try the new version set to high. To do the side-by-side testing, I've been sending the alert images to CPAI/LPR via a Node Red flow. Does anyone...

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

I haven't tried it, but according to the docs, alerts for plate detection is already available using "myplates" on the AI setup page and then using "myplates" or "notmyplates" as required AI objects in the alert settings.

    Blue Iris and CodeProject.AI ALPR

I have something set up in Node Red to do the same thing, although I haven't had cause to watch for any tags yet. I don't use Home Assistant - I'm using Hubitat for home automation - but I think standing up Node Red is probably quicker and easier than Home Assistant, so it might be a good option...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

Replying to myself since I think I've figured part of this out now. and wanted to clear it up for anyone reading this later: If you Ctrl-Double Click an alert, it opens the AI analysis window. If "Testing and Tuning - Analyze with AI" is on, the analysis window shows ALL the models and detects...

Tried: objects:0,actionnetv2:0,ipcam-animal:0,ipcam-combined:0,ipcam-dark:0,ipcam-general:0 Check my work... that is a direct cut and paste from the UI. Results in all models being used and 'nothing found' result even though the analysis window shows listed 'to confirm' objects from the...

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

Working for me again after upgrading to 5.6.9,2 I have two cameras with "ipcam-general" in the custom models field, but it is running the images through ALL the models. Is there a way to get it to only use the one I entered? Oddly, I have two other cameras that are set to "license-plate" and...

Testing and tuning -> Analyze with AI doesn't appear to be working for me. Actual clips are getting analyzed. Is it just me?

I haven't confirmed for the CPAI LPR, but when using Plate Recognizer, I use &PLATE. See 5.6.8 - January 8, 2023

Mike, I figured I'd ask this here instead of in a PM in case others have the same question. Do you know what the implications are if I check the "ALPR for plates" box and also have Plate Recognizer enabled? I didn't dig into the documentation to see if things like the &PLATE macro would default...

Well, we have a winner for which one is better, and a big thank you for pointing me towards this easier method. I had noticed that there were some clips in the clip list where there was a tag displayed, but the tag was not in the Exif information of the image file. I emailed Blue Iris support...

Definitely. I'll have to try to see what I can cook up with MQTT. I shouldn't even need to send the image over the network. If I can pass the plate and filename (and detected objects if possible), I could write those values to the database, wait a couple seconds, then do my file copy operation...

I don't know if one is better than the other. The only advantage I see to pulling from the files is that I was able to get the data for the ~14,000 alerts I already had images of. And probably a very minor point, it means one less moving part. If MQTT is restarting or there is a network issue...

@Vettester I've attached the JSON for the the Node Red flows. One is to process the alert images and the other is for the UI/dashboard view. That second part is still a work in progress and could be made much better. These flows are from two different Node Red instances, but I don't think that...

I noticed something weird that I've never seen before. I'm not sure if it is related to the "new alert/analysis" option or not. For my LPR cameras, at night I use AI to tag the images (vehicle, dayplate, nightplate) but I send all motion alerts to Plate Recognizer even when nothing is found...

Yes, it is 2.0.6. I am only running Windows Defender, and I don't see any alerts from it. I turned off the anti-ransomware folder protection (which also was not throwing any alerts) and that didn't help either. I double-checked that this machine isn't using my ad-blocking proxy. I'm running out...

I can't seem to get the LPR module to install. I've read back about 10 pages on the forum here. I tried the full uninstall, deleted the two folders, then reinstalled, but no files ever show up in the C:\Program Files\CodeProject\AI\modules\ALPR\bin\windows\python37 folder, which explains the...

Can anyone add any detail on how this works? I'm not clear on when the cancellation occurs, and just what constitutes a re-trigger. For example, I have some LPR cams set up to analyze 15 images, one each 200ms. I use a 1 second break time and a 3 second maximum trigger duration. I keep the...

What is causing the green on my cam?

@The Automation Guy I just started seeing this today on some video. The same clip that is all green will usually be fine if I restart it. Sometimes the live feeds go green and clicking onto something else and coming back will fix it. It is definitely intermittent. Did you ever get to the...

I saw your recent message about using a GT 1030 / 2 GB with Deepstack. I'm running BI and DS on a refurbished i5 4670 / 3.4 ghz / 16 GB ram / Windows 10 Pro. It's running ok but I was thinking about adding a GPU for Deepstack so I could do AI analysis on a few cameras that currently only do...

Blueiris added direct support for Deepstack AI

The external AITOOL application definitely gives more fine-tuning ability, at least for now. At the pace BI is developing new enhancements I wouldn't be surprised to see the gap between them narrow pretty rapidly. I've tried playing around with the direct integration a little to see if it can...

Tesla Model S Browser and BI web viewer

The same often applies to the Tesla backup camera. It likes to freeze and stutter sometimes which has led to me getting a lot closer to objects than I'd like when backing into my driveway. Luckily the proximity sensors will beep even when the camera is lagging. I'll try the the settings to see...

Tesla Model S Browser and BI web viewer

I know this is an old thread, but I was trying to figure out why Blue Iris UI3 was sometimes working in my Model 3 browser and sometimes not working. It looks like Tesla allows video in the browser only when the car is in Park. I was able to stream video in UI3 both on WiFi and 4G when in Park...

When you say you have your substreams set up I think you mean you cloned cameras. The cloned cameras don't show a bitrate because there is no additional network load for the clones. However you don't have anything showing under Sub FPS and Sub Bitrate. That is where you'd see the stats for...
