Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

I'm done with this thing. I just went to add another intrusion box and do the trip wires - I was setting up another preset, so it wasn't even in it's normal preset - and now it is constantly spinning in circles. it will not stop. it's been spinning for going on 2 min +

so you’re saying to have an intrusion box, but also trip wires inside that box?

@Cameraguy lmao there is no way this is a settings error. watch this clip. Watch this thing go from tracking my wife (rather well - I’m not sure why it stopped once out of the intrusion box, but atleast it kind of works.) to spinning in numerous circles for no reason at all. @EMPIRETECANDY...

    IVS Tripwire & Intrusion box

Can I make it so that when the tripwire is tripped, or the intrusion box is entered - my monitor will pull up that exact camera? Usually have my cameras on in my office and that would be a helpful feature.

The box that I just moved away from the edges has already failed and went up in the air like that again. I'm going to make one more attempt at this thing and i'm writing it off as a loss.

Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

I've been playing with this thing for almost three months now. once I think it's working good - a week later its back to this. I mean I appreciate your help - and I'm a huge dahua fan (it's all my company installs) - but at the end of the day, I bought this thing to give myself experience in...

I mean - I get what you're saying - but this is not a very wide view in the first place here... limiting it's intrusion box anymore and this things just worthless - I may as well put up a normal camera. In my opinion - I just don't think this camera is good for this space. It may work better...

Yeah, I noticed yours takes quite some time to start the actual tracking process - as does mine. My question is - did we get faulty PTZ's - or is this normal behavior?

Here’s a prime example of how whack my PTZ is:

Keep in mind - another downside to these PTZs are they are more zoomed in than a normal camera no matter what. So the field of vision is quite a bit smaller than a normal 2.8 camera.

i have one in michigan right now. No problems with ice or cold. But quite frankly - the auto tracking on this thing is horrible. It doesn’t follow people correctly. Sometimes it just spins in a circle for no reason. It’s a disaster. I’m about to rip it off my house and replace it with a less...

yikes. In my situation, with the Poe switch I have and the extenders - I should be alright? All other runs are under 300’

    NVR6A08-64-4KS2???

something tells me we’ll be fine. The wires aren’t permanently run yet - so they’re not cut to ultimate length. im going to for sure read the cat6 wiring to see how long the runs are though. That’s for sure. The 400’ is an estimate.

I just went online and ordered 4 repeaters for these long runs. Just in case. I’ll let you guys know how it shakes out.

    NVR6A08-64-4KS2???

I feel you there - but we won't be leaving until everything is working correctly. If they call us back with issues on the long runs, we'll know then to add another switch. Part of the reason we do not want to run another switch is: 1. The company plans to expand the building footprint in the...

    NVR6A08-64-4KS2???

Most are crossed at 90 degrees. With this building - it's almost impossible. Building is an old bomb shelter - all walls are cinderblock. In basement, they retrofitted ceilings with probably 3" thick plaster, reinforced with chicken wire - and all held together with steel beams. We're...

    NVR6A08-64-4KS2???

@looney2ns Additionally, since this is new to me - can I put each wire where ever on the punch down block and into the POE switch - and then re-order inside NVR? I’m sorry I’m such a rookie - the lack of ports in the back are really throwing me off.

and if it doesn’t work - my solution is to buy a heavier duty POE switch?
