    what about literally cutting the head off and splicing each wire - then electrical tape it back together. i had to do that once when a cable broke. looked ghetto, but worked, im sure it could be improved upon.

    hrm... guess ill have to live with doing it that way. thanks! i'm having that playback bug where there are blocks of time missing in the playback timeline (but it WAS recorded), i think it has to do with a Daylight Savings setting on the cameras. gotta get in there and disable it hopefully it...

    i just did this. the only way i knew how in the NVR was to goto the schedule, select all days, and turn it off, then copy that setting to all channels and save.

    Funny i came here to post the same exact thing. can get to 10.1.1.1 and log in, but cant hit the cameras. tried https, http, port 37777, 80 81, nothing... let me know if you ended up figuring it out. i upgraded to the latest firmware for the dahua nvr I'm on (july 2019 version)

    Do you or anyone else know if blue Iris recording playback works with 264h? I know it does not with 265+ EDITED TO ADD: I ended up just changing over my 8231 to H.264H and it does record correctly in BI... and wow I'm glad I did... the night time forced color I have been using was terrible...

    It is pretty slow and tedious entering complex passwords with the mouse/virtual keypad combo... I tried plugging in a USB keyboard and it doesn't work. Anyone know of a way to get a keyboard to work on the NVR?

    isn't the default i frame interval double the frame rate? i changed it to match and it does seem to be a little better. still strange that there is a noticeable performance difference between the browsers. but i welcome no plugin. still have the missing buttons. (fyi - also missing buttons...
