    on my 5831 and 5231 i have some issues with this firmware in chrome only: there are no more buttons in chrome on the live view to zoom with the mouse? i only have a snapshot button now. also, on my 5831 when viewing live feed in chrome, the video lagged behind realtime by like 2-3 seconds...

    will this work on the 5831 turret? i'm pretty sure this is not going to work on the 8232 dome though. any news on that firmware?

    Cat6 or Cat5

    honestly, i already bought direct bury outdoor cat6 (1000ft of it) and i'm just going to use it for the backbone stuff between switches. i was planning to run it outdoor to the 5 or 6 cameras (yet to be installed), but after working with it for a few connections it is so much stiffer and a PITA...

    Latest New 20190111 Firmware for DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea

    i just got a few new cameras all mfg. march 2019 with this january 2019 firmware preinstalled. 5231, 5831 and 8232 all seems to work well with no issues, played with all the settings and everything works as expected.

    one plugin is not compatible with the other since the cameras are on different firmwares. i just get a black screen for the feed. but i guess you are right, just ignore the feed and use the login to change settings. which new firmware does away with the plugins? are they out for the 8232...

    How do I directly connect to the individual cameras when plugged into the NVR? The NVR switch puts them on a different subnet (all ip's of 10.xxxx ) that I don't think I can access from my other PC's on the network. Do I have to plug my PC into the NVR?
