Zombies stalking my perimeter at night!

can also be flying bugs attracted by the IR lights by the way I also use Gmail accounts (one per camera) for nearly 10 years now to get my old Axis cameras alerts because at this time it was easy to handle with no local server, cameras are still working

Analog cameras vs IP cameras... is it worth it?

OK, but whenever it's free, you may not want to waste too much time on it, sometime I get some products for free/testing and usually they are crap ;-)

Analog cameras vs IP cameras... is it worth it?

Analog cameras improved a lot and a cheaper than IP cams (but need an NVR for recording/intelligence) but the one you selected is crap.

Also think about adding an power monitoring on your MPPT / batteries to receive alerts in case low power or energy problem.

You could also buy better cameras for same price (or lower) and use 4G router to fully access your NVR instead only one cam

Question : why did you choose the OwlCat camera ? For NVR I don't now I don't use (I have PC server), only got a 30€ NVR for free/testing :-) that is OK to do "basic" 24/7 recording but with poor features/firmware.

This is ANALOG it is a DVR not a NVR ! don't you see the 4 x BNC input on the photo ?

    Solar application

NVR have their power spec written on data sheet on which you have to add the HDD power usage, and 200Ah is one thing but is is a deep discharge battery ? you can also use SSD or 2"5 HDD instead 3"5 to reduce power. For the varifocal camera it is indoor only.

Can I run iSpy on a Celeron?

Most Celeron processors hve poor performances and if yours is an Intel Celeron J1800 @ 2.41GHz then cpu benchmark reports a score of 1080 that is not good today's small Core i3 like i3-6006U (used for notebook) has a score of 3117 I always recommand users to avoid any Celeron processors.

    IR differences question

the bottom one is "old style leds" less powerfull but smoother light, the other one uses today's high powered SMD LED but this one is unusual as usualy you see less SMD LEDs (usually 4) with each one inside a lens that focus the light to some angle (90/60/30°)

150 IP Camera Project : Need Suggestions

Another thing, you say 1080p@30fps but clearly it is not the important information, what you need to define is the Bitrate you want because it is what will will define your bandwidth and storage size and for 150 video streams 24/7 you'll have to setup a low latency high I/O storage system.

Replacing the IR filter in my Mini PTZ v2 (YC-110AR)

This kind of camera should use standard mechanical IRCut filter (well... standard is a big word, let say "usual" as you have 2 or 3 main models) you have tons on ALiExpress, open your camera and pick up the right oneircut filter m12 Aliexpress.com

    ePoE - Extended Length

OK I didn't see it was their own protocol and they do not provide any manual but if the ePoE is available from the four ports I see no reason it couldn't be linked on of those ports to another same switch model, why don't you ask them ? this product is very new so do not expect any "experienced"...

    ePoE - Extended Length

Switch get the incoming signal and "recreate" it on other ports so you can use it as extender and the length will be the same camera<->switch or switch<->switch because it is same kind of signal and physical transportation but you can also use Fiber switches and the length between switches will...

HD Wi-Fi Endoscope - $34 one day only

This kind of endoscope cameras are crap ! mainly because the wire is too flabby so you will push it 1 meter max then the wire will start to fold, there are some models with much less flabby cable, also the light power is very low, the DOF is very short, if you push such camera inside a tube with...

Anyone familiar with the low level RTSP protocol?

If we stick to the RFC you should always end a header with CRLF not only LF so it is ReoLink that is doing it right and SV3C that is more permissive as the RFC specify only "should be able to handle only LF" and "should" is not "must" ;-)
