Hi,

I'm waiting for my camera (OwlCat 3516C) but I think I will buy a local camera recorder with a 4G router.
My question is: I'm using 200Ah battery (12V), 300W solar panels (may be 500W in the future) with a solar tracker.
If I want to record and feed components for DVR recording, I need first 12V recorder (or modify power as I'm electronician) . I don't know about necessary power for recorders.

For cameras I'm interested some like this:
Aliexpress.com: Acheter Gadinan Grade Étoiles 0.0001Lux Superbe Ultra faible Éclairage 1.3MP SONY IMX225/2MP SONY IMX291 IP Extérieure Caméra En Métal En Plein Air de outdoor ip camera ptz fiable fournisseurs sur Gadinan Official Store

Very low cost, surprising quality in low light...

Or perhaps this one (I could set distance)

Any advice welcome !

NVR have their power spec written on data sheet on which you have to add the HDD power usage, and 200Ah is one thing but is is a deep discharge battery ? you can also use SSD or 2"5 HDD instead 3"5 to reduce power.

For the varifocal camera it is indoor only.

For the NVR, this one for low price and good reviews

https://www.amazon.fr/SANNCE-Enregi...F8&qid=1504364610&sr=1-1&keywords=SANNCE®+4CH

For "indoor" camera, I could use a 3D printer to make a box (or a standard box).

NVR is a 12V recorder (I saw this on youtube). I can use some "small" SDD disk I have.

Of course my 200A 12V battery is a solar one ("Victron"). Actually, during the week, it only serve for tracker and "solar" (=low consumtion) fridge.

This is ANALOG it is a DVR not a NVR ! don't you see the 4 x BNC input on the photo ?

I saw ... what NVR would you see for me ? (100-250 $ price, good qualiy, 4 or 8 ch)

Question : why did you choose the OwlCat camera ?

For NVR I don't now I don't use (I have PC server), only got a 30€ NVR for free/testing :-) that is OK to do "basic" 24/7 recording but with poor features/firmware.

For DVR I found this one
HIKVISION DS-7604NI

I choose Olwcat camera because:
- low price
- 4G
- correct local reviews
- simple to install
- PTZ
- low consumption

But I'm afraid of final quality and think PTZ will not be the best solution for me. Probably it will be better to have 3 or 4 non PTZ cameras.
I will wait the Olwcat first to see if usable.

For my application, camera will provide me informations about weather first (there is no many people who walk here except my wife and me  )

You could also buy better cameras for same price (or lower) and use 4G router to fully access your NVR instead only one cam

Also think about adding an power monitoring on your MPPT / batteries to receive alerts in case low power or energy problem.

In fact I'm also planning to add/build (4G) remote control for:
- solar power "recorder" (so with alarm). I replaced my "Victron" small controller by a bigger chinese one (60A output) with many features (Tracer4210A).
- wattering (because I can't be here during the week and 30-35°C temperature)
- other relays to expand possibilities (water pump for example because I'm near the river and my water source is too small without pressure)

I want to be abble to control "everything" in the future but with minimum consumption.

I guess you are in south of France according to the photos, lot of sun... not the case upper in Yonne
