New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Mine has been dropping at about the same frequency as you’ve described. Hasn’t failed completely yet but it never reconnects on its own. Have to check if it is warm frequently (it does get hot eastern morning sun so this summer will be a real test) and the voltage on my transformer (believe it...

Amcrest AD410 Doorbell Cam disconnects from wifi

@JazzRock - How did you make out with this? Having same exact problem, trying to better diagnose. Thanks!

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Also - it would seem that the notifications are not all independent in the app. For instance, I'd like to have the app stop telling me about motion and humans, but allow calls through. But I'd like the camera to pass the motion and human detection through to my NAS which would then do the...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Does anyone know what this doorbell needs to get an accurate picture in the notification? Does it need to have an active internal SD card? I've turned this feature off in the Amcrest software because it brings up either a logo screen, or live video, or something other than a snapshot when the...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

I made this change for [0][0], [0][1], and [0][2]. It looks too soft for daytime pictures for sure. <ip_addr>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&VideoInSharpness[0][1].Sharpness=0 I also made this change for the same. I don't know if it added anything...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Perfect, will review. After reading through the Dahua thread, I am finding myself wishing there was another app for receiving and answering the doorbell calls than the one Amcrest provides. It too is sloppy in functionality IMHO (iOS).

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Thank you. With this being the current config for sharpness within the API, can you suggest the puts to adjust to a different value? Thanks again! table.All.VideoInSharpness[0][0].Level=50 table.All.VideoInSharpness[0][0].Mode=1 table.All.VideoInSharpness[0][0].Sharpness=50...

Where might I get a list or tutorial of everything I can do with the API on this camera?

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

That's what happened to me last night when I adjusted Sharpness (per recommendation earlier in this thread that it helped night vision) - the camera feed started pulsing as if it had a hearbeat and no additional changes could get it back. Did a factory reset and all was good.

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

This is quirky as anything... making those changes reset my motion detection settings as well as the time format. Need to be careful making changes on this device!

Scratch that - it just worked - now available in ASP! Must have needed the API move first to "free it up". :)

I just tried it with the API (I'm a novice here) and I can't seem to move it with that either...

Honest, not lying! :) Is that for the AD410?

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Yes, same version. I can check it to add/remove it (though that doesn't even seem to work), but I can't move it.

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Thanks. Reset did it, but not sure what happened to begin with. This thing is tricky, probably a result of using multiple apps for config.

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Thanks, I got the speaker volume slider to work finally. Not sure why it's so difficult to move on my phone. I used the API to remove the Amcrest logo. I cannot find a way to move the time stamp overlay. I looked in Surveillance Pro and I can move the channel name, but not the time stamp...

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Well I botched the doorbell already with SurveillancePro. I moved sharpness to 0, picture got funny put it back to 50, and now it flickers once per second. No idea what is going on.

New Amcrest AD410 doorbell Cam Review

Hi all, I'm having a heck of a time setting this doorbell up, in contrast to the many cameras I've set up previously. Can you all help me with some questions? Which apps are you using to view and change settings? I can make some changes in Amcrest SmartHome (iOS), Amcrest IP Config...

    Analysis paralysis with system design

Thanks all, I'm continuing to learn. Playing with the IPVM tool, I'm getting a better feel for the shortcomings of using all 2.8mm 5MP cams. I have played with 4.0mm lenses in the software and can see slight benefits, though it feels like the 2.8s will do a decent job for the entrances if my...

    Analysis paralysis with system design

Thanks all - some great info provided. I think I'm on the right track, with some adjustments to both camera selection and camera placement. In general, it seems my logic to focus on some select points has made sense. I'm going to play with the IPVM Calculator, and look at some cameras with...

    Surveillance Station licenses

I know Blue Iris is king here, but I am a Synology Surveillance Station user. The cost of licenses for this thing is practically exceeding the cost for the cameras I am purchasing. Silly question, maybe... Does anyone know if licenses can be purchased "used"? That is, if I find someone who is...

Do PoE cams connect at gigabit speed?

Thanks all. I got so hung up on ensuring I had no issues with the gigabit bandwidth that I didn't realize not everything was going to use it. Feeling better. Thanks.

Do PoE cams connect at gigabit speed?

Hi all, I'm a bit of a networking novice. House is wired with CAT 6 and I have a gigabit switch (half PoE, half non-PoE). I spent some time recently re-punching some of my keystone connectors to get reliable gigabit negotiation with my PCs. I had been using my gigabit light for each channel...

    Analysis paralysis with system design

Thanks on the "Starlight" marketing. I'm not buying in to the hype, just responding to Flinstone61 who suggested IR was relevant. Wanted to acknowledge that the selected cameras were IR.

    Analysis paralysis with system design

Thanks, I should mention the cameras are IR/Starlight technology. Should get some detail, though not color, at night.

    Analysis paralysis with system design

Hi all, I've read tons of threads here about camera placement and camera selection. If I had an unlimited budget, unlimited resources, and infrastructure to support 20 cameras, I'd be able to meet many of the principles you all shoot for in your designs. I see criteria like cameras watching...

    AD410 vs AD110 doorbell?

Thanks very much for the response. I had a follow up question based on your experience: Since my end-game is to have the feed in Surveillance Station, can you let me know what apps I will need to use to configure it? I have Amcrest ViewPro that I used to just make the wifi connection with my...

    AD410 vs AD110 doorbell?

Can anyone with real-world experience share thoughts on the differences between the AD110 and AD410 doorbells? This will be a supplemental cam on my system to get the porch at close range. Video will be captured by Surveillance Station on a Synology. I know the 110 is 1080p while the 410 is...

IP4M-1041B poor image quality in Synology Surveillance Station

I did find one major selection that I believe resolved the problem. Live View in Surveillance Station has a selection between "High Performance" and "High Quality". It was set to "High Performance", and once I switched it to "High Quality", the Amcrest image tightened up. Here they are again...
