Man Attempted To Steal From My Trash

I wish you hadn't shown us that video. Why? Because now I feel like I have to add an alarm sensor to my trash cans and bags. :banghead: I might go the glitter bomb route instead ...

    Addicted.

Very nice! This gives me inspiration. I want to mount a wireless camera in the woods behind my house. My goal is to capture video of the wildlife at night, especially the deer, foxes, squirrels, chipmunks, and occasional owl that visits.

Helmet Cam from a Bike Ride in Bangkok

I almost soiled my underwear just watching the video. But, I conclude that there's absolutely no way that's being shown at real time. I'll bet the video was sped up. If not, then yes, as @Flintstone61 said "These guys are frickin nuts!"

You could sell that footage to Hollywood. They'll probably pay big bucks to use it in their next scary movie.

    Get Off My Lawn!

That was amazing. I've always seen squirrels haul tail it when humans are near by. It appears that squirrels may be better than guard dogs. I'm going to negotiate with the squirrels in my neighborhood. I'll feed them in return for protecting my property.

Out with the old one. in with the new.

Not to be too nit-picky, but saying both cameras are set to default doesn't say much because I don't know the default settings of each camera. They could actually be different. I see that the sensor sizes, pixels and frame rates are the same, However, I was also wondering whether the ISO...

Out with the old one. in with the new.

Both look good, but I like Cam #2 better. However, I have the same questions as @SouthernYankee . In other words, are the settings the same for both cameras? Also, the time of day is different for each camera, which can/will show differences between the image.

    Nest Camera Captures Murder

It is absolutely sad to see this happen. My guess is that she was in a relationship with a crazed man. What I don't understand is why people continue to get involved with someone who'd be willing to kill you if things don't turn out the way they want. Usually, many of the signs are there in...

    Stealing my electric

All of my outdoor outlets are tied to a single separate circuit breaker (GFI). My solution would have been to turn that circuit breaker off. Admittedly, your solution sent a stronger, permanent message. If stealing electricity becomes the next wave of theft, then I guess lockable covers on...

This kind of stuff makes you mad. It reminds me of the time a contractor at my neighbor's house was using my water without my permission.

Amazon van could do with a fix-up

I just noticed that they drive Mercedes vans. I would have thought that they'd be a cheaper brand. I'll have to look closer at my local delivery guy vans.

    Smoking Weed In The Street

Well, I'll accept the 50 point deduction from my IQ, but I'll fight to the death to avoid returning to being 8 years old. There's no way I want to navigate through this crappy brainwashing world to reach old age again.

    Smoking Weed In The Street

I don't see the problem. Smoking a plant leaf (cannabis) in the street versus smoking another plant leaf (tobacco) in the street. What's the difference when both are plant leafs? Oh, I forgot! One is legal just because, and the other is illegal just because.

    Run Run Run!

Squirrels spy on each other and steal from each other ... just like humans!! A PBS Nature program showed how squirrels steal each others buried stash. This was probably the case here. The thief watched the owner bury his winter stash and proceeded to steal it. The owner caught the thief in the...

    Car versus Pickup Truck

I'm aware of the percentage at fault thing ... it's a relatively new scam (considering the history of insuring drivers). The insurance companies have lobbied to make it legal to charge each driver with partial fault regardless of who actually caused the accident. The percentage thing is very...

    Car versus Pickup Truck

It seems that some are trying to use the speed of the truck to place the blame on the truck driver. If that's the intent, then I don't agree at all. There are two different traffic incidents ... One is possibly speeding, and the other a definite crash/accident. Granted the truck may get a...

Guy catch's kid always on his driveway.

Oops ... my mistake. I wrongly assumed it was your video. In any event, thanks for posting the video. It was pleasing to see such a nice gesture, and the kid having so much fun on the driveway racetrack. We need more of that kindness in today's world.

    Peregrine Falcon

@smoothie, Thanks for the info (lessons) about raptors. I was similarly confused between ravens and crows, but I learned how to distinguish them. They look similar when not in flight. But when flying, ravens are bigger and glide, where as crows are smaller and flap their wings more rapidly. The...

Caught On Camera: Curb Your Scam (Literally) and Rage [Produced by Larry David]

If Larry David and Robert B. Weide had nothing to do with the video, then it's a misrepresentation of their work, and therefore, the channel owner is a scammer also. IMO, the channel owner is trying to be cute by associating the video with the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" staff and music. The video...

@TonyR You're probably right. My childhood was like yours. We were constantly burning off calories doing the same things you mentioned. Thinking about it further, I blame the introduction of Pong and other video games in the 70's for the shift in the way kids "play" these days. It only got...
