No audio on live / playback via iVMS-4500 (android app)

You've probably got the sub stream set to video rather than video and audio. You've set the main stream correctly as it's recording and playing back. When you connect via the iVMS 4500 app, by default you're viewing the sub stream (fluent setting) so no sound. To prove it just switch the...

Acusense DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL (Turret Camera) - Initial Impressions

Spoke to Hikvision support the other day about this - they weren’t aware of the issue. I had one of their engineers connect in via Team Viewer to look at my setup to no avail. I sent him diagnostics, config and logs to look at but explained to him that it happened randomly. I have same issues...

DS-2CD2386G2-IS How to setup face recognition?

It's only face detection NOT recognition. You need to enable it in the camera first, as by default the VCA is set to Smart Event. Once enabled you'll only have basic events and not smart events. Login to the cameras webpage and go to System > System Settings > VCA Resource and enable it...

DS-2CD2386G2 - AcuSense - Bad image quality on latest firmware (V5.5.134)

You may have been better starting a new thread as this seems a bit off topic but anyway.... I've had issues with ghosting on vehicles, pedestrians with detached heads etc when using H265+ and so I tend to stick to H265. Though there is a specific issue that's addressed in the latest firmware...

DS-2CD2386G2 - AcuSense - Bad image quality on latest firmware (V5.5.134)

I'll be keeping an eye out for your post. Following the upgrade, the dropped frames persist on mine and occur even when there's little activity. I've had to reset one as it wasn't possible to switch to the main stream - just got a black screen each time. Curiously I noticed that during the...

    Offline(Parameter Error)

How did you add it to the NVR - remotely via the LAN or directly to an NVR PoE port If it's connected remotely via the same LAN that the NVR is on - in the camera menu of the NVR click edit, change the connection from Plug and Play to Manual then enter the IP address, admin username and...

    Hik-Connect and Acusense camera

A couple of things: 1 - Push notifications for alarms are only supported in the Hik Connect app if you add the camera or NVR to the app using the Hik Connect service. If you use the IP address or your own DDNS domain (DYN, NO-IP etc) you won't get notifications at all 2 - You have to fill out...

    Hik-Connect and Acusense camera

Ahh ok, my bad - that option I mentioned might only appear when you're connecting to an NVR rather than individual cameras directly. How did you add the cameras to the Hik Connect app? It probably won't make a difference but some options are only supported if you connect via Hik Connect and...

    Hik-Connect and Acusense camera

In the app you should have an icon (bell) next to your site name. This will disable and enable notifications (without disabling the events) With regard to the filtering - once you've enabled human and/or vehicle in the camera then thats all you have to do. You will only get alarms from human...

Acusense DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL (Turret Camera) - Initial Impressions

No. I only mentioned the new ColorVu as it also has AcuSense human/vehicle filtering as the model you mentioned. It's a full time colour model with no infra red illumination and has (optional) white LED illumination but won't be available in 8MP.

    Acusense 2.0 and ColorVu 2.0

The you say AcuSense 2.0 are you just referring to AcuSense G2 models (G3 firmware) as these have been available for an age in the UK? If so they're good but not without flaws. There's a bizarre firmware issue where you set the motion detection (version 2 polygon not grid) and when you go back...

Acusense DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL (Turret Camera) - Initial Impressions

The 2386G2 is a far superior camera. The 2385FWD-I is a few years old now and was directly superseded by the 2385G1-I which was itself a decent upgrade. The 2386G2 is better still - larger sensor, better low light performance, version 2 motion detection and AcuSense human/vehicle filtering...

DS-2CD2386G2 - AcuSense - Bad image quality on latest firmware (V5.5.134)

No - searching is not available in the web interface. The comment was more directed to the OP as they referred to 5.5.150 and I noted that the camera model was the same as mine which Hikvision confirmed were not suitable for that build. I found that on my AcuSense 2386 cameras, the motion...

DS-2CD2386G2 - AcuSense - Bad image quality on latest firmware (V5.5.134)

That version 5.5.150 was removed from the Hikvision portal in the UK due to the issues it caused. Another issue was that it replaced the newer version 2 polygon motion detection with the older grid/cell selection, and from memory the Human and Vehicle filter disappeared from the menus. I had...

    Acusense camera with normal NVR

Yes it'll work fine. The AcuSense filtering is on the camera and the I series recorder will allow you to configure and make use of it fully (unlike the lower spec K series). The AcuSense NVR performs the function with standard (non AcuSense) cameras, but there are limitations on the number of...

    AcuSense cameras with non-AcuSense NVR?

Yes it does. You can only use the feature on one or the other - you can't double the filtering effect. For full support of the AcuSense cameras it's best to use the I series as opposed to K series NVR as there's an icon on screen to filter during smart playback.

    Hikvision DS-2CD2345FWD-i v DS-2CD2347G1-L(U)

Yes and if it’s the original 2385FWD-I (as opposed to G1) better still as the 2385FWD was spec’d at 0.1lux min illumination.

    Hikvision DS-2CD2345FWD-i v DS-2CD2347G1-L(U)

I have both of those cameras - the 2345FWD-I is knocking on a bit now and not too great in low light, I always preferred to use the 2325 sacrificing the resolution for improved low light performance. At the front of my house I have two cameras in the same light looking toward each other - one...

    IP Camera Exception?

Difficult to say. My guess is that when you plugged it into the NVR first time, it was assigned it's IP address using plug and play of 192.168.254.20 on one of the camera PoE ports. At some point when you plugged it in elsewhere, possibly to a different machine or port the IP address in the...

Looking for better nighttime performance between those 5 cameras

From those listed probably the 2345. You mention that you already have the 2335 FWD-I so you need to keep in mind that from the perspective of minimum illumination, both the 2325FWD-I (2mp) and 2335FWD-I (3mp) will perform better than the 2345 (they are both 0.005 lux minimum and I still have a...

    Abnormal Shutdown Help

I can't be sure at this point it's totally resolved. The camera that was causing the issue was first disconnected and reconnected to the NVR directly and I couldn't get it to fault so suspected the link (even though it tested fine) After remaking connections and refitting it went just once more...

    Abnormal Shutdown Help

I've been having the same problem. You may find that your firmware is not up to date as it was updated for the I series a couple of days ago. V4.4.010 was the latest - this has been removed from the UK portal and now V4.4.015 has replaced it. I had no issues with mine until I swapped out a...

Looking for better nighttime performance between those 5 cameras

You mention the AcuSense 2346 G1. If you were to go for the new 2346 G2 version it's substantially better 0.003 (as is the 8MP version 2386 G2 with it's larger sensor) and has the new version 2 motion detection, so the motion has human/vehicle filtering rather than just the smart events. Also...
