no. any normal upgrade will most likely fail. also I don´t think there is any higher firmware available for those cameras atm ? ( I guess, but not sure, that you can upgrade with chinese firmware, I wouldn+´t try it . but it seems like the chinese firmware is always older than the english... -
Too many options! Need help picking out three cameras from several options
the EXIR ir on the DS-2CD3T45 is amazing compared to the "normal" round-ring ir leds on most camera, so i can recommend those. they dont give a good spread out light instead of the spoteffect.- badmannen

lets just say that even if 10 % would fail (which they dont) , you would still end up with 90 working cameras from china =), instead of 45 from US and then spend time with warranty and service bullshit. ( with china, just buy a new if one breaks, and you still have money for beer. == Happy...- badmannen

so the compression setting is nothing I can edit then. both are set to high. ok maybe makes sense. the 3MP camera is FW version 5.3.3, less compression there maybe. I got a 4MP DS-2CD3T45 with 3.3.8 FW and that one produce similar (even less ) filesize than the other 4MP DS-2CD2042WD-I ... -

I vote aliexpress, i been lucky perhaps, never got anything wrong so far. but check with the seller a bit first. about warranty. well who cares when you get twice as many cameras for the same money =). But im in Europe. maybe different story here with the prices -

Just realized something I find odd. ( maybe a screw loose in the head ) .. with this 4MP camera DS-2CD2042WD-I , I get a JPG file of roughly 1000kb during daytime and at night it obviously drops down alot to about 350kb. While on my other camera which is 3MP, DS-2CD2T35 I get a daytime... -

mac don´t have great support when it comes to their own software IVMS . but if you use it in Firefox or some other browser ( I typically use Torch browser, works better for me is I´m on a MAC) . otherwise just install Parallel desktop on your mac with a Windows 7/8/9/10/ version or whatever...- badmannen

I would just try to put all cameras down to 4 frames per second and lowest resolution. Just as a basic check. If that works I guess you will have your answer and then work your way backwards. If there is some bottleneck causing it maybe it is the nvr or your lan? I assume it's all gigabit... -

i been flipping around between nvr, webinterface, ivms4200, 4500, etc, and one or several of them force their own settings on videoresolution and other irritating things wether you ask for it or not it seems . they should really make the config stay at one place and be pulled everytime you acess... -

installed it . it works perfect for the last minute I tried it anyway sop can´t complain. -

i use ivms 4500 on my phone , it works fine with push notifications . ( a bit too much sometimes but I can live it that. ) to make it easy for you just enable every "notify surveillance center" setting you can find under all trigger and motion tabs on your camera settings or nvr. The...- badmannen
