FTP upload at time intervals while NVR recording

Here is my question:

I'm planning on haveing a 6-8 camera setup at my house with an 8ch NVR for continuous recording and notifications and remote viewing.

However, I'm also planning on using one of these cameras for a weather station and that requires FTP uploads to a server at 5 minute intervals. Can I accomplish this with using one of the cameras to FTP an image every 5 minutes while the NVR also records continuously off of said camera?
