    Just buy a POE+ switch. The device should negotiate with the switch to determine the power requirements. You're going to have to run an extension cord or something to power it.

    You have to put your DSL modem in what is called Bridge Mode. What is the make and model of your DSL modem and who is your ISP?

    Found an AC adapter from a router. Fired up. Update: I have it all set up and can view on my tinyCam app. Avast wouldn't let me download the plugin. Now I need help with PTZ. It zooms but doesn't pan or tilt. There is nothing binding.

    What I believe they are hacking is the key in the house. That info then is stored in the box the guy gets in the car with. You can't drive away without the fob or a clone. Just put your key in a metal box overnight.

    It would be nice if the OP stated what he wanted to accomplish. As far as I know, there are alarm inputs and alarm outputs on most NVRs. The alarm inputs are generally tied one to one with the NVR channels. If you connect a PIR to the input, you're basically overriding the PIR in the camera...

    Thanks. That's great info. I found something last night that cleared things up. I like that module. The downside is that it looks like you would need one for each output. I'd need to look at the voltage as well because I don't think I want to send voltage to the alarm panel.
