I think my other issue of not getting as many motion alerts could this this?

I think I just figured out why I'm getting so many fewer motion events with substreams. Do I need to lower this setting proportionally to account for way fewer pixels on the substream? i.e. if I had it set to 100 pixels when the image was 1920x1080 but now it's just 640x360, then do I need to...
How can I see all alerts without having to change between "alerts" and "canceled"?
That said, there's nearly nothing in canceled the 30 things that happened in front of the house last night that would normally trigger a recording didn't have anything recorded let alone cancelled alerts. When I...
If I'm reading the help file correctly, it should already do what I want when camera Record Tab Video "When Triggered" is set vs "When alerted" which says: "When alerted. Much like When triggered, but video is only recorded when the camera is in a triggered state and the alert has been confirmed...
Just upgraded to BI a few days ago and have turned on DS for most of my cameras. I just realized I have a huge problem. I'm no longer getting recordings on regular old motion detection. I'm only getting recordings when DS detects one of the filtered object types. I still want the alerts for all...
Also even if the i-frame interval was long, you'd still have events where you'd catch the i-frame within the pre-record trigger time and well before the event start time.
Yes. I'm familiar with this change. That has nothing to do with the fact that the pre-trigger buffer is still not actually recorded.
AGAIN if I turn substreams off it works fine. Video with substream turned on:
I have NEVER recorded continuous. That would fill up my hard drive very quickly. I have video alerts going back months.
I have rebooted multiple times. I've stopped and started the BI service multiple times.
The pre-record buffer range 3 to 4 seconds but I increased them to 10 seconds. It's like this on all cameras. I frame interval is FPS in cameras where I can set that. Pre-record buffers all worked fine before the upgrade. I've literally not changed anything except for substreams. When I disable...
Just upgraded from BI 4 to 5 a few days ago. My pre-record buffers for all 14 cameras have completely stopped working when using substreams. If I turn the substream off for a camera, the pre-record buffer starts working again.
FYI, I have 14 cameras with many of them with waving trees and plants. I have had no false positives and all of my testing hasn't missed a single actual person detection.....of course I've only had it up for two days :)
What sort of sucks is that this synchronization feature doesn't apply to alert Actions so I'm having to copy and paste programs and arguments for multiple alerts and then do it all over again for each camera.
I just upgraded from BI 4 to 5. This won't work for me. I'm doing a ton of complicated zone tuning and need to copy profiles 1 to 3 and profiles 2 to 4 on EVERY one of my 14 cameras.
I need to setup the same curl command for 14 cameras to to send a pushover event. Is there any way to copy alerts or have a common alert that all camera can use?
So I'm really confused. I had my wife walk around hitting a bunch of cameras. The events piled up with the little orange icon for person detection with 78 to 90% confidence. The BI log is showing just over 200 ms but I'm assuming this is not DS's detection time or is it?
I'm running 14 camera...
I have an extra Hikvision DS-2DF8236I-AEL that I'm replacing with the laser IR version. It is a USA product. It just passed it's 3 year mark so it is no longer under warranty. It was used at my house, not a commercial location so it's had an easy life. It's in perfect condition. No scratches...
