    To answer the question about what I am trying to accomplish...use the alarm output from cam to trigger the opening / closing of the door. I am kind of surprised no one has explored the possibility of this especially since you can use existing equipment.

    riri7707- I somewhat understand what your saying about how this "limits" people from buying cheap cams and then upgrading the firmware. In my case I bought a "legitimate" camera from a reputable company (Nelly's) and paid full price so to me I should be able to upload the latest firmware...

    Just tried to update firmware from 5.2.0 to 5.2.5 that fenderman posted above and I keep getting "Upgrade Failed" message? What gives....this camera is really starting to irritate me.... I am starting to think you get what you pay for.....maybe I should have stuck with ACTi.

    Seriously, BI does not have an option to add addt'l people...what about if you were using for a business and you wanted to give security guards specific or limited access...no such thing I guess? I've seen basic NVR systems (like ACTi that allows that ability) kind of surprising this is lacking...
