    How to Implement Dual Purples?

You can do that with volume spanning in windows. Multiple drives appear to the operating system as one. Or you can run a Raid 0 for more speed. Or you can run your cams with folders on two separate drives to give you some redundancy.

    Added second Storage drive

Open the Blue Iris Console Go To Settings > Clips and Archiving, and just change the drive letter there Once you do that use windows to copy the existing files from the old drive to the new drive. Done.

Maybe as a cheap confirmation cam for alarm sensors. Not sure I would install them in any capacity where I wanted an actual camera.

Loryta IPC-B5442E-Z4E 4MP Starlight+ WDR IR 8mm–32mm Motorized Lens Bullet

How far left on the house have you gone? Angle is important. Large angles decrease the apparent width of the plate, make it harder to read, and are probably the reason why your IR performance is so poor. Large angles increase the speed that the plate is moving relative to the camera. Hopefully...

I'd pan the Camera further to the right as well. The cars are almost moving perpendicular to the camera on the left side of frame so you get more motion blur and the image cleans up as the plates get further to the right of frame.

OpenALPR Tool - Save and Query CSV Exports

My pleasure. @Gymratz, @DLONG2, and @GentlePumpkin did all the hard work. I just piggy backed on their knowledge and tried something that happened to work. You also shouldn't be thanking me as I've just created a couple of pages you have to add to the setup guide at the next update.

OpenALPR Tool - Save and Query CSV Exports

I have notice mine crashes from time to time, but I think I have the solution. I now have the down loader running as a service using the Non Sucking Service Manager. In theory, if it crashes, the NSSM should restart it. I followed the same process used to get the AI tool running as a service...

Your positioning looks awful, It's almost like you are perpendicular to the road. You want to be sub 30 degrees from the line of travel of the target vehicle where you can.

Bugger. If it doesn't work on 12V try a factory reset as well.

Connect the camera to the POE port injector and then the Ethernet port on your laptop to the LAN port on the injector. If that isnt working connect your Ethernet port direct to the camera and power with a 12V Power supply. Click on Networking - Circled in red Click Network and Internet...

PTZ camera w/ a decent sensor size (1/1.8")?

For me it isn't a big deal, but keep in mind you are preaching to a community where some people have five on their front door alone, and 16 cam systems and up are not unusual. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/why-i-like-redundant-views-multiple-cam-views.52704/#post-508228 If the aesthetics of...

PTZ camera w/ a decent sensor size (1/1.8")?

Realistically they aren't selling PTZ's with the 1/1.8" sensor to a price sensitive market and the market they are selling them into wants those features, even if you don't. If you are ok with $400 is then why not get two or even three 5442 turrets? A PTZ can only point in one direction at a time.

Backup BI Server - 1 Camera, 2 Servers for failover

An onboard SD Card would be significantly cheaper. Make sure you get a high endurance card though. For just a single camera the cheapest compatible NVR you can buy would also work. As much as I love BI, a second BI box for redundancy seems like overkill and the most expensive way to do things...

[tool] [tutorial] Free AI Person Detection for Blue Iris

Out of curiosity, what is "good" when it comes to deepstack doing it's thing. I'm averaging in the 500ms - 750ms range though occasionally it will blow out to 1500ms - 2000ms. That's processing 720P images on an I7-8700 BI Box with OpenALPR running as well
