    My Dodgy PC...

Ah, it was release 5.2.7 version and I'm running 5.2.6.5 That may be why I don't know it. I love BI, but since I found it, I have bought 3 systems and it gets expensive keeping topping up latest software, so I haven't got the latest version unfortunately.

    My Dodgy PC...

Anyone got any ideas on this. My CCTV PC, used almost exclusively for BI CCTV is way too high on CPU. It has an I7-6700 processor and 16GB Memory. I've attached an image to show the problem, BI is using 58% CPU, it goes upto 99%. But I'm pretty sure BI is not the problem. If you look at my...

    File Storage Help Required

Or quick format? And also if Alerts and Stored Alerts are also on same drive, the set Stored Alerts to zero and Alerts to delete at size x?

    File Storage Help Required

Yes my W drive is solely for BI. Done. Done. Done Done (previously I had 4GB setting & 1 hour) So considering my W: drive is only for BI, should I full format and 1024?

    File Storage Help Required

Sorry guys I don't mean to cause trouble, but which should it be? I have done a Quick Format to 4096, but don't mind doing anything whilst at this stage if I need to change it to a Full Format and 1024 I will. But should I?

    File Storage Help Required

I am recording 24/7 with a break every hour. Yes I see your point with alerts just being pointers. I just need to reconfigure the whole triggers and alerts now, I feel my system is not optimised.

    File Storage Help Required

In fact, now I can store to files I choose again, don't I just need Alerts and New? What is difference between New and Stored?

    File Storage Help Required

Should I Quick Format or full format? ps: It already appears to be 4096. OK will do but aren't Alerts video? Just point them to WD Drive too? I think this may be where I made a mistake, I pointed alerts to my SSD too, but aren't alerts video? I have just pointed everything to either New...

    File Storage Help Required

Hi Guys, For a long time I have had this issue with file storage but I cannot rectify it. I all new files and alerts go to my SSD which is my C drive. Then after a period they go to my WD Purple which is W drive. I am trying to alter my storage setting but I am stuck in a loop and have been...

Dahua IPC-HDW5442T-ZE 4MP Varifocal Turret - Night Perfomance testing

Could I please double check, would the PFA122 be suitable to attach to a pole mount PFA152 to then attach the IPC-T5442T-ZE so two mounts and the camera is mounted vertically? Would that risk water ingress?

B5442E-Z4E - First Thoughts After Test

Thanks for the replies @samplenhold & @bigredfish, not knowing the perfect setup, I am thinking about testing one in a couple of locations. Is there a verifocal turret from Dahua with this new 1/1.8" sensor? Enabling me to zoom in and out remotely to get the perfect setup with differing zoom...

B5442E-Z4E - First Thoughts After Test

So can anyone say has thev4MP camera improved enough during the night to make it a better buy vs a 2mp Starlight? I am in the market for a new camera as I have a secret bin filler, he must park stationary to do this so I want great facial recognition during daytime but also best night shot...

    24 Port Switch

Thanks guys, I'm going to go for new and no manage ability required. I'll look into what's available on amazon. D-link and netgear will be the cheap starting point by sounds of it.

    24 Port Switch

Hi Guys, This should be a nice simple one. I need a 24 port switch. No cctv, no poe, just for a private network to hard wire ethernet throughout a modern flat. Is there a reliable plug n play item without any bloatware that anyone could recommend please?

    Sound From BI Specific PC

Hi all, Using my BI System at work, the staff got fed up of hearing themselves echo out of the BI PC. The PC has not got any speakers but it must have an internal speaker for emergency notes or something. It is a Dell SFF Optiplex. So I turned sound of BI cameras and forgot about it. Only...

    HDW5x31R-ZE Replacements

You star aristobrat, that's just the ticket as its motorised vertical. Winner! And it has a mic. Therefore, even better than the 5x31's although for this indoor use, the older series would have suited.

    HDW5x31R-ZE Replacements

Well thanks for that but it is not necessarily an upgrade. I could get wonderful pictures before their improvements. Only now I've lost a features of motorised focus and sound.

    HDW5x31R-ZE Replacements

Bloody nightmare this, she does want volume and I've started by purchasing a BI specific PC and 8TB HD. She won't be pleased I can't do what I've shown on my previous setups. Why would Dahua downgrade them instead of bringing out another cheaper line without the motorised lens. I hate it when...
