    Thanks for your help again! That's what I'm doing now is setting up the the scheduled times manually. I'll just have to edit the times a couple times a year

    I'm not worried about the quality in remote viewing. Just want to have the best quality when viewing locally and play back but not sure if changing the main stream settings lower will make it record at that rate?

    I dont like color night vision either and i cant disable it i dont think? Does your script change it to B/W automatically when the sun goes down and back to color when it comes up or do you have to set a time?

    If you log directly into the cameras through their ip you can set up times to have the camera change modes automatically from night and day. I just recently found this out

    I agree with all that you've said. On your varifocal cameras can they be zoomed all the way out and auto zoom in when they detect someone? Like Lorex has face detection, person +car detection and I've wondered once it picks someone up if a varifocal cam could auto zoom into the subject?

    I've got both MS and SS set low as my upload speed is only 1mbps on my home internet. It still records at the highest quality for local viewing off my NVR though correct? I forgot to mention it is set to VBR instead of CBR.
