How many times can i use reg code

Couldn't agree more. Dell has proven to be absolute garbage to me and HP isn't a lick better. I am a Think fan and Lenovo is keeping them solid. TS140's are affordable, reliable, great system for a small camera network.

Cam catches thieves - makes me wish I bought better camera

Another issue is that that no one seems to know how to get a snapshot from the software. Instead, the officer gets out his phone and takes a snapshot of the monitor. Take a snapshot using BI and you get a ton of snaps to choose the best ones from.

Cam catches thieves - makes me wish I bought better camera

Reminds me of news stories I have read in the past.... just an FYI, don't use electricity, "Legal experts noted that a person is within his rights to defend his life with deadly force. But the issue of protecting one's property is a murkier area." Old article that I remembered reading Bar...

Cam catches thieves - makes me wish I bought better camera

Impressive, really! Just for the record... that is not normal night quality in your 2032 - It is definitely crap quality, but it isn't what that camera should be giving you.

Cam catches thieves - makes me wish I bought better camera

I have 2032's and they look far superior to this. If there is nothing wrong with your camera I am wondering if the close proximity to high voltage is affecting it.

How to kick a connected blue iris user?

One would think that since it is disabled, nothing with that account would work. To test what you said I enabled it, edited it and unchecked the view clips, etc, then disabled it and restarted. Even though I have another admin account set up to view clips, I was not able to view clips. So...

How to kick a connected blue iris user?

I have it disabled and everything is working - it has been disabled for along time actually. I still have an admin account, just recreated another one with, as mentioned, a ridiculously long name. Perhaps I could have just changed the name on the built in 'admin' but since I wasn't sure if...

How to kick a connected blue iris user?

That is a good point/question - and would you say if the time is :00 or :01 it means an unsuccessful attempt to gain access? Haynstyle: I am no security expert, more a "jack of all trades and master of none." I don't see how it would be possible to get information from your Foscam about your...

How to kick a connected blue iris user?

I can't imagine why there would be a need to 'kick' a user from BI? I mean, if you set up a user account for that person to access BI then why do you need to "kick" them? It isn't like some game where the user is being obnoxious in chat but if the user shouldn't be on BI then they shouldn't...

Blue Iris Recording Stutter/Crash and Antivirus

I would disable the AV software to test it. I am curious what your system resources look like when recording and when playing back a recorded file. You could open Task Manager (Ctrl, Alt, Del) and watch the performance tab. If your system is running out of necessary resources, you will...

How to kick a connected blue iris user?

I don't know about 'kicking' a user from being connected but if you have a user you do not want to connect then you could just remove them via the Options/Users menu - or disable their access even.

How to review one camera over multiple days

Is it a motion cam? Do you have alerts set up? Looking at Motion alerts can help narrow it down. Other great feature is ability to speed up the play tremendously!

How do I view my NAS Backup

Assuming your PC is on the same network, from the Explorer window, This PC (where you see your main "C:" drive) you can right click for the context menu and map a network location, thus creating a shortcut to your NAS. You can also open an Explorer window and look on the left side Navigation...

    Greets from Minnesota

Just took a look at that... Yes! that makes the layout "pop" a bit more and seem a bit less dull. I've been using BI for several years now but never really did anything with it except connect the cameras and record and then only ever looked at recordings if I needed them. The software itself...

    Greets from Minnesota

Yes, though it sounds more interesting than it is. I am a small shop so I don't have an inventory - I just order what is needed/wanted when the time comes. The real benefit is that I order from an authorized distributor, which means Hikvision will then also offer support and warranty on what I...

Nice capture and that is certainly a nice healthy looking bear. Looks like you have a great view from your cabin, wouldn't mind seeing a daylight shot of that!

How many of you have cameras inside for intruder detection?

I picked up some cheap China onvif cams from Ali Express a few years back. If you search for pinhole type cams you can find these with various lens styles, even one with a lens head that looks like a screw. If you can get creative, you can hide them in things. The quality isn't horrible...

    Offsite (Cloud) Backups

I think if my cam vids were really important for me to archive for longer than a month or two, then I would get a TS140 Thinkserver and set up FreeNAS with WD Red drives. If fire/water/theft were concerns then I would spend a little extra and go with an IOSafe NAS and anchor it down in some...

How many of you have cameras inside for intruder detection?

I have a few cameras at home, in the house, hidden. The only one anyone would find is the fisheye one that is set up so I can check in on the dogs. I have a Synology NAS with Surveillance station doing all the motion recording and feeding it to my phone when I am away.

    Greets from Minnesota

So, I have been lurking around the forums on and off for a few weeks now and thought I should add a post in this section. I live in Grand Rapids, Minnesota - small town, population around 11,000 (the whole county is only about 46,000) and I have a small business - computer repair, cell phone...

    Profiles & Schedules

Ok. I think this is starting to 'click' for me. I set the cam to override global and within the cameras own schedule I set profile one for the hours I want a text and profile 2 for the hours I don't. Now I notice that the camera window shows me which profile it is on. I also just realized...

    Profiles & Schedules

For the past several months I have been going back and forth in an effort to understand Blue Iris Profiles and Schedules. For me it is overly complicated and seriously confusing - I may be over thinking it but the end result for me each time is 'it makes no sense." I have read the Help section...
