Hi ADCS Did you know that the cam is mounted a bit high ? :D I'd hazard a guess that the network connection is being dropped, lol So step 1. Swap the cam with one of your others as a test of the cable & connections on the way to your nvr -

Are 'we' convinced that nothing else is on the network other than the nvr and the pc / laptop that's set to 192.0.0.128, and using a direct cable or cross over cable and talking to 192.0.0.64 Nothing else connected to anything ? -

Strange..... Why is tftp looking for econt_Vision-AV2000, which seems to be a camera file ? Run the tftp.exe on its own, and click on edit / option and make sure that its pointing to the digicap.dav which is in the same Auto Update folder. -

The BI...lol was referring to the fact that a reply above mine (that has now been deleted by the poster) suggested using the web page output of Blue Iris... which of course isn't available, cos your not using Blue Iris. I doubt that that the processor / hardware in the pi is up to the task of... -

BI... lol The simple & better solution could be to use the NVR vga or hdmi output to the tv (depending of course on running cables and the tv inputs) -

Ideas for "fishing" cat5 through a finished ceiling
Only tip I can give that may work, depending on the construction above the ceiling (as pointed out by Lebeter) is to drop the light cans and then you only have to get some fibreglass rods to reach the 8' or so.. and go from hole to hole. Nope... it will melt Very beefier will be required, or a mid range pc may cope with all the cams throttled back to maybe 720p (or less) and low frame rates. IMHO .. a Hikvision nvr 16 channel + hard drives, viewed and controlled via a monitor is the answer, (or reduce the requirements) P.S... -

I think there are some confusing numbers that have put into print, there is 'quite' a visible difference between the xx32 and xx12 light response. Not so much as being a fantastic difference ... more like, 'thats better', lol (added to the fact that the lower Mp is cheaper, then its a win win) -

Hi wozzzzza There are minor and major kinda devices, a camera being minor does not have the capability of a major device... major being a something like BI on a pc or a dedicated nvr. You can set up motion on the camera and record to built in media (if available) or can write to a network... -

'May' require an additional cable from the nvr to the network switch (so one used as input and one for output.. thats if your using the pc for viewing the recorded streams). Depending of course on the nvr, camera Mp / frame rates and the pc spec, once all the the set up work has been done using... -
