Heavy delays, artificating on just one 4Mp POE camera

You need to log directly into the camera(s) like your Amcrest by using its IP address. Then go into the Camera -> Video section and match the Frame rate (fps) to Frame interval (I-frame). See attached pictures.

    Blue Iris Help

The cameras on Amcrest site for public viewing are configured for low frame rates and bit rates so they work over low bandwidth connections. Your system with an AMD A8-6500 APU running at 3.50GHz benchmarks at 4399, which is a average rating for a Desktop PC. It hard to believe that your PC's...

    A119 Dashcam

Do these capacitor only dash cameras with no batteries, lose the date and time often? I'm looking at the "VIOFO A118C 1.5 inch H.264 1080P Novatek 96650 Capacitor Battery Car DVR Dash Cam" for $51.55 at Gearbest. I plan on using the car charger with this dash camera and not hardwiring it into...

$99 Amcrest 1080p ProHD from Foscam

I was able to fix the 5-7 second video freezing problem that was occurring in Blue Iris by changing the Amcrest camera model from "ProHD 1080P TSP/HTTP" to "IP2M-841W Main Stream RTSP" and by unselecting "Use RTSP/stream timecode".

Opinions on Edimax IC-7113W or IC-7112W?

Thanks fenderman. I am going to go with the 2CD2420F-IW 2MP Indoor IR Wifi Cube Camera 2.8mm from Nellyssecurity. I am going to use this camera to cover my front door and living room from inside.

Opinions on Edimax IC-7113W or IC-7112W?

I am looking to purchase an indoor Pan/Tilt IP camera and was looking into the Edimax IC-7113W 720P HD Wi-Fi Pan/Tilt. I am planning on connecting it wired (CAT6). The cost is about $129. Has anyone used this camera with Blue Iris 4? I'm also curious what people think about this inexpensive PT...

Any reason not to upgrade to Windows 10?

For me Windows 10 has been a very stable and secure Windows platform. I recommend having plenty of memory (8-16GB of memory) as Windows 10 does use more memory than Windows 7 and Windows 8. If you are upgrading to Windows 10, you can avoid many problems by performing a "Clean Install", but make...

    Blue Iris Annual Fee?

I wondering if this may help people who are not able to run the BI Mobile app with BI v3.xx. Android: If you have an Android device that has the older Mobile app installed that still works with BI v3.xx, you should be able to backup the installation package for that app using something like...

    Windows 10

I suspect you may have Windows 10 "N" for European or "KN for Korea Edition. These editions do not come with Windows Media Player installed. You will need to download Media Feature Pack for N and KN of Windows 10. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48231

    H264 codec missing -- reinstall (30) in BI 4.1.0.3

That is odd. Does the 1 problem camera work for a while or kick up this error immediately? Can you compare the video main stream settings in the problem camera to another same make camera? I would look at the video encoding type in the Hikvision or Dahua and see if they are different.

    H264 codec missing -- reinstall (30) in BI 4.1.0.3

I would recommend installing the K-Lite Codec pack. The K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of Codecs needed for encoding and decoding many different audio and video formats including H.264. I have used it for many years without any problems with Dahua and Hikvision cameras and Blue Iris DVR...

Possible bug with Firewall wizzard in v4.1.0.0

It turned out that Blue Iris wasn't detecting the correct Remote, external (WAN/Internet) address because I did not have "Check dynamic IP automatically at startup" selected in BI -> Options -> Web server. It had my old WAN address. This is what caused a problem during the Remote access Wizard...

Possible bug with Firewall wizzard in v4.1.0.0

After updating to v4.1.0.0 x64 bit, I tried out the new firewall wizard in Options -> web server. After doing so, I was not able to access BI webserver from outside my network. It worked fine from inside the LAN. It is possible, that I did something wrong during the wizard steps and selecting...

    Eliminating video anomalies...

I totally get keeping your CPU utilization lower than 80%, matching I-frames to fps and increasing BI receive buffer. But, I'm curious, how does increasing the frame rate in Blue Iris so it is expecting more frame than receiving fix video ghosting or other anomalies?

Anybody using .15? What was the change/fix?

It fixed more crash issues with people using the Direct to Disc (D2D) feature. I read on a few forums that it fixed crashing issues in Blue Iris concerning D2D with Foscam cameras. With this release (v4.00.15), Ken (developer) has squashed many of the big bugs.

    BI 4 Error Windows SErver 2012 R2 x64

Did you install the "Desktop Experience" feature. You can find it at Server Manager, then Features? I would also make sure you install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013. This is a requirement for Blue Iris 4.x. If you have a 64-bit OS and want to install the 64-bit...

    Noip down?

By Microsoft's own account, it appears that no-ip *may* only be quilty of being exploited by cyber criminals. To make no effort to contact no-ip and work together with them to resolve this problem makes no sense and could leave Microsoft open to lawsuits by no-ip and the people who use them...

    dahua hfw-2100s image problem

I have the same camera IPC-HFW2100, software version and web version and do not have any image distortion issues. Try fenderman's suggestion of matching the camera's frame rate to I Frame Interval. Also, increase your Bit Rate from 1280 to 4096. That should help improve quality. Here is my...

BI update to 3.54.01 detected as a virus

It's a false positive. I have had a few different versions of Avast over the past few years flag blueiris.exe as Malware. I pretty sure it was Win32:Evo-Gen. I just added blueiris.exe to Avast's exclude list and the restored blueiris.exe from Avast's Virus vault. This resolved my problems.
