I don't think it came to mind when they did it.
Another interesting tidbit that I found on the site was virtual cameras! What? They use one camera (3 to 5MP) and then you can stream cropped views as several virtual cameras. Genius...
I am sure they have the software... and then you will most likely need 5x 4TB HHD's to record them... LOL I think this is more special application than the norm... Airports come to mind.
I don't think this will change to world but it sure looks good. AXIS P1425E Axis introduces new series of seven cost-effective and compact bullet-style cameras for any environment

I really didn't check before upgrading and right now only have four cameras running in BI but the CPU usage is only 5-7% and I don't think that is more than before. I should have checked.
I live in central Missouri. Out in the middle of nowhere. The land is really good for nothing other than hunting. Hills, trees, and rocks. A lot of rocks! but it is quiet out here most of the time... :peaceful:
Thank You bombo, It was right out of the box and I didn't change any settings. Now the storms are out of the area I will have some time to play with it. I got the 4mm lens and so far am happy with it.
Personally, I have no experience with that one. I did have a friend in CA that has something that sends information directly to Wunderground but I am not sure. They are fun to have and you always have the most updated information.
I am a certified Storm Tracker so I have seen a few. It is nice to watch but not so nice is the damage that they can cause. When you are out in your car we have the windshield test, from time to time, if you still have a windshield the hail is not bad enough... LOL
That was about 15 minutes shown in 30 seconds. If I remember right about 1/1000 on the speed. I like watching clouds but it is better if they move fast!
Someone needed to install the mail box better.... (Bigger NAILS)
My new Hikvision 2432 arrived today! Just in time for the storm.... I set it up quickly (Wi-Fi) and set the camera in the back window looking northwest. We were under a tornado & sever thunderstorm warning! I didn't want to miss that. So this is the first clip from the new camera. I was a...
Whatever it took, Just glad you did it! I myself have no answers... But that doesn't stop me from putting in my 2 cents from time to time... Right now I am more in the learning mode!
I think a sticky might be in order explaining just how to go about doing that. That extends the record time but insures that you don't miss any action.
Awesome!! BTW: What size of drive do you use in yours? Right now I have a WD RED 1 TB but was going to add a WD Purple 2TB because it is just sitting here doing nothing.
I got the new NVR 5216 yesterday and just played with it to see if I could get my "OLD" cameras to work on it. I now have 5 cameras (The Pelco stopped working) and of the 5 the NVR could detect 1 (one). I expected that to be my AXIS but it wasn't. With a little prompting the AXIS M1031W...
I frames are the "key" frames with the most data.
The typical Group Of Pictures (GOP) structure is IBBPBBP... The I-frame is used to predict the first P-frame and these two frames are also used to predict the first and the second B-frame. The second P-frame is predicted using the first P-frame...
One of the newscasters said last night that over 15 million brackets were submitted. There have been a FEW upsets and right now there are 18 people that have them 100%. No wonder the odds are so high.. It is not that easy!
