    As a ham radio operator for 30 years, I think in UTC, so for me, it is easier. Just like the clocks in my vehicles are all set to UTC. In the past two years I’ve provided video to the police 4 times. Never once have they had an issue with the time stamp being in UTC.

    I have, numerous times. Along with an affidavit attesting the recording is a true copy, and the notation that time stamps are indicated in UTC. Hasn't been a problem yet.     I just leave everything I own in UTC and then add the offset in my head. Easier and I never have worry about changing a clock.

    Unfortunately the only real solution to fake SD cards is to buy them locally through a known retailer. I've even gotten fake SD cards through what appeared to be reputable sellers on Amazon.

    I wouldn't call it new. It may have a new date, but the firmware has been on the web site for quite a while. No idea why the date changed, but, I updated to that rev (5.4.4 171206) several months ago. The digicap.dav date in the zip file is 12-6-17

    My 4mp turret STB again in the 7 degree weather we had here a few days ago. I have to go out tonight and see if I can recover it with a power cycle, its not responding at all now. I may just end up replacing it with another camera entirely, since dragging ladders through snow and mud is getting old.
