    Looks a great camera. No idea of the cost as I use a mate of a mate to get prices. There are sooo many cameras to choose from. I won’t be using Dahua as I only know Hikvision. I really don’t want to learn another manufacturers equipment.

    I’m not bothered about line crossing etc only quality of the image. CCTV so confusing. I just don’t know if I can justify the 100% price difference between ip and tvi. Requirements are 12fps, 1080p resolution. No other feature is required. Tvi cost £215 IP cost £420

    I have the IP or Tvi decision to make for my brothers house. IP would be my preferred choice but ££ is what matters to my brother. The extra features of IP are of no use ti him as all he wants is a 1080p observation system. Tvi suits him fine.

    Nope. Only read the threads that interest me. For an 8 camera or less install Tvi is ideal imo. The cost being the deciding factor. Only benefit i can see of IP on a small install is that it is a cleaner install as no psu required.

    If you register with Hik connect you can then use iVMS-4500 without forwarding ports. I personally prefer iVMS-4500 to the Hik Connect app.
